In defense of Chase's injury, I was curious to compare a stat that wouldn't be affected by missing games - namely, Yards Per Catch

Justin Jefferson: 14.6 (13th in the NFL)
Ja'Marr Chase: 12.4 (46th)

Jaylen Waddle: 18.0 (1st)
Amari Cooper: 13.9 (18th)
Jerry Jeudy: 13.5 (25th)
DeVonta Smith: 12.7 (38th)
Derrick Henry: 12.6 (40th)

There’s never been an argument. LSU fans have never even had to entertain this notion. You making a thread about it is very stupid.

Literally means nothing or are we suddenly considering the Aggies elite because they were preseason top 6?

Too bad Alabama was the better team in 2019.

Tua's first injury sidelined him for a few weeks which explains why he was rusty in the first half against LSU. After he shook off the dust, Tua turned it up and balled out in the second half out performing Burrow. Even with the sloppy and uncharacteristic first half, Tua still out performed Joe. Alabama was absent for an entire half and only lost by 5. Sad.

"That's cuz muh Alabama gumpz had muh slightly better defense". Well, that would mean Alabama was the overall better team, right?

Without that injury, Alabama wins that game easily.

Thank the injury gods. Otherwise you would have been the greatest second best SEC team of all time!

"But muh Burrow had just slightly better stats than Tua entering that game".

That's because Tua was pulled much earlier in games than Burrow was. Give Tua the same amount of playing time leading up to that asterisk game and he would have topped Burrow's stats.

Also, 2020 Bama beats 2019 LDU by 3 scores. Fact.

2019 Bama >>>>> 2020 Bama >>>>> 2019 LDU

Cope.

Both teams were great. Bama 2018 was as good or better than both and got their clocks cleaned by 2018 Clemson. All great teams.

Yeah. The last two years of cfb have seemed absurdly weak because between 2018-2020 there was a GOAT caliber team every year. Hell in 2019, there were really 5 teams capable of winning a national title many seasons. Injuries got one of them (Alabama).

3. More wins

This is my favorite LSU argument.

Because what Alabama really needed that year were wins over Northwestern St and Georgia Southern.

Please do not forget some of your notable wins in 2019

7-6 Georgia Southern
7-6 Utah State
3-9 Northwestern State
2-10 Arkansas
3-9 Vanderbilt
6-7 MSU
4-8 Ole Miss

What a powerhouse schedule for the greatest team in 2019.

I think 2020 Bama was better, but the 2019 LSU team is a close second. Hard to believe that Joe Burrow, Justin Jefferson, and Jamar Chase were on the same college team. That's 3 future Hall of Famers right there.

When Tennessee was having a “run” this year the media was comparing them to 2019 LSU. Why?

Because it’s universally agreed that 2019 LSU is the best of the playoff era. The facts back it up

No one knows what you're talking about. It's not about not counting. It's about 1) apples and oranges, and 2) no one remembers. I just didn't mean anything. It was half teams going halfass.

Only one team was so good that it made an entire rival fanbase get on their knees and pretend a skewed pandemic season was equivalent to the GOAT team in an absurd strength of schedule season. So, yea. Case closed.

How many starters did Alabama not have to play against?

Pretty sure this board’s bama troll group made fun of lsu/Kentucky/auburn for failing to have barely enough players for each game.

Then laughed at OSU for not even having a right to be in the payoff……until they played them. Because they got the group email about disparaging their opponent…:making their season look sub par. Which it was not my fault.

But y’all are so dumb for not being able see to foresee that.

That ESPN ranking really broke the Corndogs lol.

2020 Bama would make 2019 LSU with Burrow look like 2018 LSU with Burrow.

Bama 2020 was the best team in college football history / and our qb had the best season of any college qb ever.

Facts that can’t be disputed

And bonus: we weren’t coached by a drunk Baffoon
