This is getting really sad. All that work to still not show that Alabama was better because no one actually thinks this. And it’s kind of fricked up to this year’s Alabama team, because they still had a great season.

This Bama team is infinitely better than 2019 Bama. 2020 Bama would beat 2019 LSU by double digits. Which to be fair is the rule when it comes to Bama vs LSU. The exception is 5 point wins by the best LSU team of all time vs the worst Bama team in over a decade.

Congrats on the Natty but Alabama 2020 did not accomplish as much as LSU 2019.
Your 2020 is diminished by Covid - shorter season / weakened schedule.
I find it amazing that no players tested positive for COVID or marijuana. A great accomplishment.

Stats don’t back it up. 
You can’t deny defense as a whole this season for the SEc and the nation were terrible compared to last season.
You could shut down this whole argument with that. And the stats back it up.
Pass defenses were better last year.
Rush defenses were better last year.
Teams were giving up fewer PPG.
But Diddly, seriously when can you make a thread with stats supporting LSU. Please!

I was thinking about making this thread but not this in depth.
I have a couple of things to add though. I included Texas for LSU’s stats
So scoring defense is LSU allowing 25.4 points per game on average and Alabama as you said allowing 19.4
This gives us these average scoring differentials:
LSU: +21.6
Alabama: +29.1
This is the biggest gulf that tips the scales imo.
Also I’ll throw this out there
LSU:
6 ranked wins
4 top 10 wins
3 top 5 wins
Alabama
5 ranked wins
4 top 10 wins
3 top 5 wins
Basically identical. And it seems like a common LSU excuse is Alabama didn’t beat anyone but that simply isn’t true. The average winning percentage of their opponents is lower (57.8% to 63.6%) but that stat is misleading because it includes all of LSU’s opponents’ cupcake wins because I didn’t feel like going through that much effort to find which ones to exclude.
So this really isn’t close, 2020 Alabama is tGOAT. I gotta tip my cap fellas, y’all tore asses up

Look Jones is good but Burrow is in another stratosphere. Burrow faced a better version of this Bama team last year in Alabama and beat them.
