I think 95 Nebraska is the GOAT dumbass. And for NONE of the stupid excuses and reasons you keep talking about. But because of how they dominated their opponents on the field. They were a great team and probably win the national championship under normal circumstances. As were most Saban teams, they were favored to that year by Vegas. We will never know.
Acting like they are a GOAT when they won games with multiple conferences and players opting out, playing away games at 1/6th of capacity, and defeating a 7 win team For national title is where I objectively draw the line. It’s not an asterisk. The season was played. It’s just not a GOAT team due to circumstances.

It was in response to the person trying to claim I didn't care or know about 1995 Nebraska until 2019. I was obviously very familiar with them long before 2019. I've not made a single argument that required anyone to "be there".

My opinion is better because I've been debating this topic for over 20 years.
I love the topic of who is the GOAT because it's mostly a topic about the method that should be used to determine such things. It's the same reason I once created a computer ranking system. I love looking at the situations and stats and using them to get useful information. I was able to predict the winner of games 75% of the time just using stats and I determined that "BCS busters" like Boise St weren't actually among the best teams.
