Well as much talent as LSU lost, they will still have the best cb and best wr in the nation next season, so that’s a good start.

Even the Town Drunk has it figured out!

Kudos!!!

LSU is loaded with talent and experience in all the right places to CREATE & STOP those plays deemed EXPLOSIVE !!!

LSU will be heavily favored in all their games.

LSU’s preseason ranking has climbed from 12 to 5 or better (4th), but we all know they exalt Bama and Clemson every year despite the beat down LSU put on them both.

Who will pass LSU silly?

No one!

Who will destroy that huge talented LSU OL and shut them down?

No one!

Who has the offense to destroy a talented LSU dee with the best secondary in America?

No one!

Get the nets Girls! You all Squeal again for Uncle Ed Orgeron in 2020.

Geauxt Brennan is comin’

Is that kinda like the same for Georgia? Bama? Clemson? And the rest of them? Really the only hard team to beat in the east is Florida, that team lost basically no one. Don't talk shite til u can beat Florida, can't sleep on that team. That gator team is a legit contender. Georgia may win 10 games if lucky.

It was against Troy. Pretty sure he played better D’s in HS. Can’t handle the pressure under the lights at TS.

He at least better figure it out one time when the sips come to town. That or Stingley bails him out with four pick 6’s against their atrocious qb

Myles had a better qb rating than joe in 2019 vs aggy

And threw more TDs in mop up duty than mond threw all game.

He'll be fine, one of the strongest arms we've had in a long time. Need consistent OL play.

Replacing 4 of 5 OL, yes? Not sure I’ve ever seen that work out well

They will take a big step back at QB this year. Both lines were good but not great last season. LSU needs both to improve and John Emery to develop into the homerun threat everyone thinks he’s going to be. The QB has to at least be good and not turn the ball over more than 10 times or so. The receivers are obviously top notch and the defense will better during the regular season.

It’s a big ask, but if those things come together, they’ll be right there contending for a playoff spot.

It will be tough for sure, you might see true freshmen like Dumervil and Jackson get significant PT

I think Brennan will be a good QB for LSU but it’s going to be impossible to duplicate the production of 2019. Just from the standard of setting* multiple season NCAA records along with the experience lost.

That doesn’t mean that LSU isn’t going to be a contender next year or that they won’t be a contender in the future. There was going to be a drop-off regardless but there’s no reason to think they can’t still contend for the playoffs with the talent they’re bringing in.

Every person who says they will are also saying that Burrow and the rest of the players LSU lost are generic enough to be replaced by young talent who have had a few weeks of practice. LSU fans yall will not win the west again, I would wager a ban bet on it.

I think it's more the system than Burrow and they will probably be fine overall. Not the same level, but that's because they lost so many on both sides of the ball.

Agreed. It seems as though many here cannot consider the possibility that LSU would have a down year.

I haven’t seen any LSU fans, if any at all, who expect Brennan to be Burrow. They do expect him to be very competent, and probably better than many others expect. It seems like the nonLSU fans projecting what they think LSU fans ought to be saying. We do expect a very competitive team that has a lot of talent and some growing pains as new starters get more experience. But we are not expecting 3 yards and a cloud of dust.

I'd be fine with a 9-10 win season (if the season happens). 2021 otoh will have championship expectations

As much as I hate to say it I think Bama is set up nicely this year as long as they use Najee Harris like they should. Auburn could also have a good year this year and beween Kiffin and Leach I think there will be an upset in the west. Florida is in its best position to take the east since mullen has been there. This will be an interesting season.

Not losing much at wr and young rbs played a good amount last year. Obviously a qb change is big and the o line losses will also be difficult. WR is loaded, qb has a rocket, rbs are very talented. LSU has a fighting chance.
