Indian isn't even top 50 all time lol... In a random year in any other decade they prolly finish the season ranked around 5-9..
Really not trying to hate, but the talent is just too spread in these early years of NIL...
Conversely.. all of these teams finishing in the bottom half of their respective leagues would shite kick teams ranked where they are ranked from a decade ago....

I know LSU fans say that is the best team ever. Ole Miss scored 37 points against that team. We lost our asses by 3 tds so there was no doubt about who was the better team. But I just looked at that season and there was not one shutout. Not one. LSU came close with Georgia Southern and Utah State but not quite. Did you know that the 1959 Ole Miss team had 8 shutouts in that season. And yes LSU was their only flaw with a 7-3 loss on Halloween (which is when we should always play). But we ended the season 21-0 in a Sugar Bowl, rematch with LSU.
We aren’t talking about the best offense which I would put that LSU team as the one of the most potent. But that 2001 Miami team had a couple of shutouts. And they wiped their asses with their opponents on offense. Va Tech came close. Things to consider. Football has been around a long time. One can only judge a team in its era. That’s it. Just looking for an intelligent conversation on this. By the way that 1959 LSU team had 5 shutouts. Those were the two best teams in the country that year. They punted on 3rd down when they played because the defenses were pushing each other back. History from my Dad before he passed.

The biggest beat town I’ve ever seen LSU have on a team was Oklahoma in 2019, but damn that 2003 one was the sweetest.
