True but LSU's RPI has to be up there, it's not like it's in the 50's... And there are 4 recent direct games... Again not putting Florida down just saying LSU's case is also very strong.

This tournament is the most idiotic format I've ever seen. Not all teams qualify, then it's single elimination one round, double the next...wtf. Who was smoking what when they agreed that was acceptable?

The SEC deserves 4 seeds. That's the bottom line. Let's hope the committee gets it right.

I agree. It should be an 8 team tournament double elimination all the way.

and then back to single. it's a crappy format for sure. should just go back to 8 teams.

8 teams, 2 pods, round robin, 3 games min for everyone, 1 extra for the ship. It'll just be annoying for the tiebreakers(higher seed) to the ship, but ultimately this title means little.

naw thats gay acc format. sec has always been a double elimination type of tournament and should stay that way.

But it gets every team work without being too much. The top 2 teams play as many as 5 to 7 games. That is too many right before regionals.

poche has been pretty average this year but i think lsu tattooed state's pitcher as well when they met in BR.

I am waiting for Pool play to be used, that way everyone gets 3 games for certain. Then make the semi's and Finals single elimination.
Pool A gets 1, 12, 6, 7
Pool B 2, 11, 5, 8
Pool C 3, 10, 4, 9
Pool A gets 1, 12, 6, 7
Pool B 2, 11, 5, 8
Pool C 3, 10, 4, 9

I'll take your word for it but yes I believe the format was always single elimination in the championship game regardless if one team had 1 loss and the other had 0.
