You can't really be this delusional, right?

As he keeps saying, all sports are 50/50 regardless of any kind of stats, location, injuries, coaching, matchups, etc. All just blind luck.
I have never said this once. You do understand that a baseball game and betting on baseball are completely different entities that have absolutely nothing to do with each other right? We're talking about betting and predicting the outcome of the game in this thread. Can you get that through your stupid fricking thick skull?

No, you can't. You can't consistently make money in absolutely any way by betting on sports other than blind luck or parlaying and getting extremely lucky. If you can then please write a book and make yourself a millionaire

Good Lord.

What does that have to do with what I said?

Everything, becuase you clearly have no idea what the conversation is about.

quote:

f there was absolutely any way to make your odds better than 50% then people would consistently win. They don't. Is that hard to grasp for you or do I need to give you the number of a gambling problem hotline?

Why do you keep talking about consistently winning? The fallacy refers to a single flip of the coin, one. In the discussion we, and by we I mean "not you" because you're rambling about shite that has nothing to do with the actual conversation, are having it's betting a single game, one. When betting one game, the odds are nowhere near 50/50 because of a little thing called the "spread".

Maybe next time we can teach you about that. We won't even get into parlays, half or quarter game bets, over/under, etc. Your little nugget may just explode if we did.

Try to keep up next time bro.

What were our records in both years? And as a side question: was ULM a better team than Alabama in 2007 (?) when they beat Alabama?

"They love when people, like this moron, look at betting sports as anything close to 50/50 odds."

Your reply:

"It is 50/50 odds. It's perfectly 50/50 and Vegas makes sure of that so there's no way to consistently win"

You've said it over and over again.

Who? The guys who rob you blind by claiming that they win big consistently and sell you their betting systems? I've never heard of a single person winning money in sports betting and I know of a ton of people who have completely ruined their lives and lost their families over it

I'm not going to do research for you because you are ignorant in sports betting. Many of the people who help set the lines for games were former gamblers that had a lot of success. Like I said before, it is not easy and many fail but it is entirely possible.

I think LSU will be the 3rd best team in the SEC behind Bama and Ole Miss. SEC West is loaded at the top next season. LSU could win the SEC with a couple of breaks.

Arkansas should be really good as well as long as they get at least average QB play.

Maybe. Alabama wasn't very good that year, and at least they could claim that it was a fluky loss. Those excuses don't exist for arse whippings, which is what Arkansas has done to LSU in consecutive years.

No, I don't think they cared at all. And if you weren't a desperate delusional moron you'd probably agree. Arkansas sucks, we lost our biggest game of the season the week before that decides whether or not we get to accomplish our yearly goal of winning a natty, and we showed up flat as a pancake. I'm sorry if you're not smart enough to grasp that wild concept because you want to think that our players are somehow going to do mental gymnastics to get fired up to play a shite program like Arkansas

You are a completely delusional homer.

Arky whipped the dogshit out of LSU for two years in a row. That happened because the players didn't care to win the game? What the frick are LSU fans paying for? Your guys quit the game before it even starts!

Arky won both times because they were a better team both of those times. This year, Arky is re-building. If LSU beats them this year, this is the reason why.

I won 1,200 on Draft Kings during the college football season. There are other/better ways to make money off college football than betting on games.

And again, you're acting like I'm talking about the sporting event itself and not the prediction that we're making

Ok, I really don't care to debate this anymore. Admittedly, I don't know shite about sports betting but I know that Vegas makes an absolute killing every year which implies that the odds are at or below 50% and they bank off of a LOT of people thinking that they can predict what's going to happen in a certain year by looking at what happened in 2014. The entire reason that I brought the gambler's fallacy into it was because people were repeatedly saying that past events are a good indicator of future success even if coaches, players, and a bunch of other shite changes, and I have morons like RB10 who clearly has a gambling problem trying to correct me when saying that "LSU is going to lose because they lost the past two years" is the literal definition of reverse gambler's fallacy.

You were the asshat who brought up the gamblers fallacy when he said he would take Arksnsas. You then went on a rant about coin flips when the rest of us were discussing sports and sports betting.

You then tried to argue that sports betting is exactly 50/50 odds.

You are now trying to say predicting outcomes of football games is exactly 50/50.

You went full retard about 8 pages ago. There's not even a phrase to describe the level of idiocy you're spewing all over this thread at this point.

Congrats. You're a trailblazer of ignorance.

Yea, they did. Pisses me off but it's pretty obvious if you look at the lack of effort and intensity starting in the first quarter. Sometimes teams show up flat, LSU has done that 2 years in a row vs Arkansas for a lot of reasons
quote:

Rebuilding what? Their 7-5 team from last year? Arkansas sucks, period. LSU has been better than them and lost. You're blinded by your hate of LSU if you can't see that

It depends on the person, Vegas does make a killing but it also has to do with many taking a small rake of every bet. If everyone breaks even they still make money. As I said before many bet and lose but it is foolish to say betting is simply 50%.

I feel like LSU fans just spam down votes on any negative comment about LSU regardless of how true the comment may be
