Both were good to great teams that didn't win a title but certainly were one of the best in the country.
Who wins this game?
Why?

Considering 2004 Auburn only beat 3 loss 2004 LSU 10-9, I would say 2011 LSU would mop the floor with 2004 Auburn.

The 2004 LSU team should have beaten Auburn, but Auburn converted a 4th and 12, then got a free redo on an extra point to win 10-9.
The 2011 LSU team was better than the 2004 team.
2011 LSU.

2011 LSU.

That LSU squad would have been one of the greatest ever.... But 21-0 happened. So 2011 tigers and it's not even close

Very aware of how good they were. Good enough to be left out of the championship and I was at the sugar bowl. I guess you have amnesia from seeing what LSU was doing that year. If Saban doesn't get the rematch, miraculously, we are talking about the 2011 tigers with the greats.
P.s. I hate EVERYTHING about L5U, but they were disgusting that year.

USC would have skull drug Jason Campbell and auburn, if we are being honest. It was a blessing that they got left out.

People who use this "logic" are easily the most retarded kind of people.

Tell me more Nostradamus. With what crystal ball did you pull statement out of your arse?
Was it USC's destruction of powerhouses like Virginia Tech, Oregon State, Cal, UCLA, Stanford etc... that led you to believe they were untouchable? Or are you just a moron?
I'll answer for you, definitely the latter.

No kidding. In what world does that logic make sense.

In a world where hypotheticals are all you have to go on because reality doesn't fit your narrative.

The 2004 Auburn defense would've dominated that 2011 LSU offense. LSU might've had trouble crossing the 50 yard line again. Jordan Jefferson and Jarrett Lee against the #1 defense? Laughable. At least Auburn had a quarterback that could throw a forward pass. Jason Campbell's senior year was really good.

If such a theoretical game were possible, of course the 2011 Tigers would win in a ROUT. The size, strength and skill set of college football players increased somewhat in that seven year interval.

You do realize that auburn played VaTech in that sugar bowl, right? The team you were mocking with the "powerhouse" comment. And barely squeaked out a win. You look pretty dumb right now.

The scoreboard might indicate Auburn "barely" won, but anyone who watched the game knows Auburn dominated from start to finish.
