Clemson was a wide open dropped pass in overtime away from beating them WITH Cam.

I didn’t play on the team, just stating the outcome of one game.
Congrats on the NC that year I guess.

Again, Gus hadn't figured out how to use Cam. It wasn't until the 2nd half of the Clemson game when the light came on. Clemson couldn't stop him after that. But we can what if any Teams NC run. Go over Clemson's last year and pick out a few spots. I know its hard because it is the ACC, but didn't NCS have Clemson beaten and didn't A&M have them scrambling ?

I can tell you they wouldn’t go 14-0. 2009 went 8-5 and 2011 went 8-5.
So, probably 8-5.

True.

No, Clemson smoked them by almost 50 points.

To quote your response about Cam, “Dabo hadn’t figured out how to use Lawrence yet”.

How about you count up the number of players in the NFL from LSU’s 2010 roster and get back to me?
Posted on 8/10/19 at 9:15 pm to CaptainPanic
Cam didn’t play defense that held LSU to 17 points. You can have tons of NFL talent, but if it is not at certain positions it is wasted. LSU had no QB.

That’s a fantastic assessment, however, it is irrelevant. It doesn’t change the fact that there was much more talent on LSU’s roster, just nobody as good as Cam.

Bowl eligible maybe, the guy was a machine, we've never seen anything like that in this conference.
The real question is, where would Florida be if he'd stayed there?
Urban might still be at Florida.

Ok, next let’s do 2016 Clemson without Deshaun Watson.

Awesome! Some suggested follow up threads:
1. 2018 Clemson without Trevor Lawrence
2. 2017 Alabama without Tua and Hurts
3. Bama without Saban
4. Air without oxygen
5. 2016 Clemson without DeShaun Watson
6. WWII without the a-bomb
7. Jokes without punchlines
8. Michael Jordan blind, without hands
9. The 85 Bears with late stage hemorrhagic Ebola
10. My aunt if she had balls

Would have been Kelly Bryant. Who would have been Auburn's QB without Cam that year?

Hard to say...I would imagine that if Cam wasn’t coming to Auburn, Auburn would have focused on a different player. Who knows. And it’s not like we don’t know what would happen with Kelly Bryant vs DeShaun Watson.

Watson really wasn't that great in a lot of games in 2016 including the Auburn game.
the defense won that game and the NCSU game.
He had great overall stats against Pittsburgh but threw a terrible interception late in the game in the end zone from like the 5 yard line when we could have just ran the ball and settled for the FG. instead Pitt ended up tying the game.
