My butt was puckered for the entire length of this game.

One of the best games I've been at. Was actually talking about it last night.

I remember Saban being really frustrated the entire week leading up to this game. Could tell it had been a bad week of preparation, plus the game was on a Friday. I believe Auburn was coming off a bye too.

One of those type of games where the better team won but really shouldn't have Auburn outplayed bama that day IMO

Auburn's offense blew much of their load in the first half of the first quarter. Apart from one play in the 3rd quarter, Alabama's defense shut down Auburn's offense for the most part after that first quarter.

Auburn's defense played inspired and did everything they needed for the Tigers to win it. They went in to the game with the mind to shut down our rushing game and accomplished that goal, holding our offense to just 73 rushing yards. They made McElroy beat them and beat them he did.

For a handful of plays? Sure. I'll give you that.

Auburn had 248 yards of offense, of which 139 came off two plays. Auburn led Alabama 14-0 in the first quarter. Alabama outscored Auburn 26-7 through the next 3. When your bag of tricks ran out, so did your chances of winning. Roll Tide.

You won this game 7 years ago, you don't have to make up excuses for getting outplayed some of the game.

I saw 1989 happening all over again. Came down to one drive and it was a beauty. After that game the national championship was ours. Florida had no chance to stay with us. Texas would be tough but we were better but I thought this iron bowl was gonna undo us.

Unlike 1989, we had the better coach.

I actually sat in the Auburn student section for this game. So many people became Florida fans as soon as the clock struck zero.

I was there too, sitting in the Auburn part of the stands. Hard to forget thousands of Auburn fans walking out of the stadium doing the gator chomp.

I actually watched my neighbor two houses down take down his auburn flag the next morning and put up a uf flag. Was one of the saddest things I have ever seen.

Some of the responses here perfectly capture the Alabama fanbase.

For a team with such success the fans sure do suffer from insecurity.
