2019 is not even top 3 IMO

But for some reason they’re living rent free in your, 2001 canes’, and everyone else’s heads.

I swear LSU fans bring this up the least of everyone on the internet

In 15 games for LSU in 2019, no team ever had the ball on offense in the 4th quarter with the chance to tie or take the lead

That is an absolutely crazy stat. Has that ever been done before or since?

Pure dominance

I wager we'll have at least 3 - Jefferson/Chase/Stingley, barring injury

Kristian Fulton, Patrick Queen, Delpit at minimum have a shot as well.

2019 LSU would destroy both teams.

The best two teams in college football history are 2019 LSU and 2020 Alabama.

That game would be incredible.

Any team pre 1990 would get destroyed by most good teams in 2026.

I hate Miami

But if you think 2001 Miami overrated, you are very dumb. I know LSU fans are very, very, very big homers..but try not being one.

Louisiana does have one of the lowest IQ averages in America. Not shocking.

I disagree on the top 3 though, just would not say number 1.

2001 Miami
2019 LSU
2005 USC

are my top 3..in that order

I wrote this years ago comparing the schedules. LSU played the toughest schedule out of the 3 teams often referred to as the GOAT. It’s a comparison to the teams ranked at the year they won. Ie LSU was ranked 7th in 2001 and LSU played the #7 ranked team in 2019.
quote:
1995 Nebraska - Most Dominant
2001 Miami - Great assembly of talent
2019 LSU - Offensive GOAT

LSU playing the Nebraska 1995 Schedule
#2 Clemson
#5 Oregon
#7 Oklahoma
#9 Penn St
Mississippi St would be the next best team

LSU playing the Miami 2001 Schedule
#8 Alabama
#14 Auburn
#15 Iowa
#18 Michigan
#19 Appalachian St
#21 Cincinnati
Texas A&M would be the next best team

Miami playing the LSU 2019 Schedule
#2 Orgeon
#4 Tennessee
#6 Oklahoma
#7 LSU
#8 Nebraska (this is the best team they played)
#14 Syracuse
#25 BYU
Next would be an 8-5 ATM type team

Nebraska playing the LSU 2019 Schedule
#2 Florida (played in the championship and demolished)
#4 Florida St
#6 Ohio St
#7 Kansas St (beat them regular season)
#8 Northwestern
#14 Texas
#25 Iowa
Next would be an 8-5 ATM type team which would have been their 4th best on the year.

It's easy to romanticize about the 1995 Nebraska or 2001 Miami teams, but when they are put in perspective I think the 2019 LSU team holds up.

Do you understand what these words mean? They are typically rated as the #1 or #2 best team in the history of the sport. They most certainly are not.

By definition using the English language they are overrated.
