Put this on the tiger rant but felt like sharing with my Auburn friends. SIAP.

Today is the 20th anniversary of this bizarre night and classic game. It's appropriate the LSU/AU game is this weekend.

When I first saw the fire I thought the stadium was going up, just crazy.

I was a kid at the time but I never understood why it took Terry Bowden so long to get another shot post-Auburn

Walking away from your job midseason tends to scare off some potential employers. He also had a lot of personal issues at the time.

Bad call in the end-zone sealed it for us right?

So kind of like Petrino before Petrino?

I always heard rumors about about being caught banging a high level booster's wife.

Supposedly he was banging Bobby Lowder's (THE booster at the time) daughter.

Also the same day we went into Neyland as dogs and made them quit before halftime.

I saw the black smoke first and it looked like a big balloon rising.

When I got home a friend had left a message on my answering machine. One of the announcers said you could tell this was a game in the south because everyone was watching the game. If this was on the west coast the stadium would be empty and all the fans would be outside spitting on trees.

I remember watching it on TV and thinking it was absolutely bizarre. I thought the stadium was burning down.

Time goes by waaay too fast. I remember watching that like it was yesterday. We had just been there not long before so as we were watching it we were relating to exactly where it was happening.
