Auburn & Vanderbilt are the only 2 teams to really separate from the pack.

I worried about Wednesday. A&m was on fire today. Looks like y’all dont play well away from home but if y’all play like you did today and we do as well it will be the best game of the regular season.

Don’t feel too bad. LSU lost to Vandy as well, plus lost to Georgia by a rimmed out buzzer beater.

2 games also separate Auburn at #1 from Tennessee at #2

Does this make Auburn the greatest team ever?

Uhh... I think we have very different definitions of rimmed out . LSU's 35 foot buzzer beater attempt clanged off the backboard and didn't even hit rim.

It's fun ecspeially since Kentucky is average this year. Anyone can beat anyone. The league has probably never this balanced. No result surprises me.

I'm confident that the greatest Auburn team ever is better than the greatest Aggie team ever.

And its not like Aggies are some historically elite program, y'all are right here on the same level with Auburn. You don't have room to talk shite.

Auburn and Texas A&M are both exactly .528 all-time

A&M has been to the NCAAT more times overall

Both have been to the 2nd round 7 times

Both have been to the Sweet Sixteen 4 times

Auburn has been to the Elite Eight 1 time, Aggies have never made it that far

That still aint saying much. We are a below average team historically.

What is Bama's greatest team ever? Y'all don't have any team significantly better than our greatest team.

Auburn's 99 team is the best in state history. 29-4, SEC Champs, #1 OVERALL seed in the NCAAT. The only 1 seed to ever come from the state of Alabama.

In 86 Auburn went to the Elite 8 so y'alls greatest tourney team hasn't been more successful than Auburn's.

Auburn's 1984 team with Charles Barkley and Chuck Person could probably beat any team Bama could trot out.

I’d start with 7-2 in regular season conference titles.

Why do so many people have readong comprehension issues on here?

Nobody is disputing that Bama has a more consistent and therefore better overall basketball history than Auburn.
But you and the Aggie's implication was that Auburn's greatest team ever wasn't very great. The fact that Bama has more great teams is irrelevant.

The debate is who's single greatest team is the best. And it's very close, with Auburn's greatest team probably the one with the edge.

Greatest team in state history was either 1976 Bama or 1987 Bama. 87 Bama won regular season and tourney and was a #2 seed. Just ran into a hot Providence team (fricking Billy Donovan) in sweet 16. I'd put that team up against any team the state has ever had though.

Wrong. 99, 86, and 84 Auburn would wax the floor with all those teams. Bama never could handle Barkley or Porter.
