What’s the saying, “ a fool and his money”?

The move to fire Fisher goes well beyond the more than $75 million owed to him in buyout money. The Aggies are expected to focus their coaching search on some of the highest-paid sitting Power Five coaches in the country, many of them with buyouts of their own. A contract for a new head coach could cost in excess of $80 million. Combined with assistant buyouts and new staff hires, the price tag for the move could exceed $150 million.

A lot of money to win nothing. This will forever be funny. He couldn’t even win the West

Simply a staggering amount $150 million just to get started with a new regime.

Have literally everything but the coach.

Not an issue. At all.

I can’t wait for the “thoughtful” pieces on Sports “fricking” Illustrated about how Aggie is the perfect example of college sports “losing its way.”

tamu is desperate to be relevant in football, and will spend hundreds of millions to be something they never will be.

Anything they win will go down in history as the most expensive whatever in history. The ROI is atrocious

That $150 million INCLUDES an entirely new coaching staff. It's not a crazy number bur Jimbo's buyout is still crazy.

Honestly at this point aggies should just deband their athletics program and focus on other things and keep that 150mil. It’s just not their thing

They don’t pay the buyouts all at once-only a percentange paid upfront and rest paid yearly for so many years

It’s amazing it’s taken 84 years to find a coach.

Aggie isn't a fool. They know that if they don't buy their way to the top before NIL gets regulated they have no chance of ever getting a title.
They are too weird to keep all the talent when on a level playing field. They need to find their guy and buy all the players before that happens. They will continue to spend ridiculous amounts of money on every aspect until then.

I wonder how many division one schools have spent $150 million total through their history on their football coaches. It can’t be many.

Sports on every level is completely out of control and being used to keep people distracted with BS.
