LSU will blow their wad early like they always do and shite the bed late in another loss to Bama at Byrant-Denny West.

This is actually the opposite of what has been happening this season.

I hope the Alabama coaches and players are relying on information from 2016 the same way you are. But, I doubt they are.

Not Tennessee.

During my lifetime I am pretty sure we have a winning record vs the Vols. At least during my adulthood we do. If we add in my 90's childhood it may go to .500. But we don't play very often.

Off the top of my head:

LSU won 2000
Tennessee won in 2001.
LSU won the 2001 SEC Title game.
Tennessee won in 2005.
LSU won in 2006.
LSU won the 2007 SEC title game.
LSU won in 2011
LSU won in 2017.
Tennessee won in 2022.

That's 5-3 for LSU in games I actually remember watching.

Looks like Tennessee beat us twice in the early 90's.

Everything else was before I knew what LSU was.

All good things eventually come to an end. The Baton Rogue winless streak vs Bama is certainly the proverbial monkey on the back. Here's to at least two more years of it.

This is the least tense I've been for a LSU - Alabama game since I can remember...

Before the season, I wholly didn't expect to win. Now, I still don't; however, I'm a little more optimistic. We have to play pretty flawless, sound football, and we cannot turn the ball over. We also can't have any special teams mishaps.

That said, I still don't think we'll win, but after the past few weeks, I'm reasonably optimistic going into the game.

It's crazy what a good, competent coaching staff can do...

Are any of you guys old enough to rememeber the entirity of the 1969-2000 streak?

That stat still blows my mind. How did it get so bad? LSU had some good teams in the 70's and 80's.

I came into LSU football in the 90's. We were pretty bad so it made sense then.

So you are telling us the championship didn't relieve the frustration. At least you are honest about it.

I like how all you bama dudes pump your chest up like your fat asses are on the team or in some way contribute to all the wins. In all actuality, you’ll have your fat arse stuck to the couch with a Budweiser in one hand and a bowl of Nacho Cheese Doritos resting on your gut, the game is on, and you hurling drunken debauched expletives at the TV.

I'll be in Tiger Stadium. Cool generalizations tho.

Enjoy watching your team lose to State

I remember the tie game in the 80s ending the win streak in Baton Rouge.

It is crazy how it has been a reverse homefield advantage for big games and upsets so many times in the series.

LSU all time record against UT is 10-21-2. Believe it or not, football was being played prior to 2000.

Can your mouth open any wider for Bama fans to enjoy?

Congrats on your first win against them in 15 years
