Ya I'm starting to give up any hope of consistent play from Mitchell. He's unstoppable for 10 mins of the game & a whiny bitch for the other 30.

They played Kansas who is very overrated imo to a close game in Maui. They beat Memphis in Maui in the 5th place game. As I said, it was matchup hell for Memphis. That win will end up being a pretty good win for them though. And of course tonight will be a very good win for them. Beating Bama at home is something not many teams will do this year. They will end up in the top 25 next week, and deservedly so. But they are a bubble team in the end.
Bama will be fine, but this loss hurts. VCU and Wichita will be their two best OOC wins at the end of the year, and that will hurt them in seeding. They are out of chances in the non conference now.

When he wants to play, he's a great player. But frick him and his attitude. And how about shaking the hands of the team that just beat you instead of ripping your jersey off and going to the lockeroom like a little bitch.

The arena looked dead.
The students need to be center court. It was embarrassing to watch on TV in the 1st half.. The 2nd half looked somewhat like a decent basketball program, but Alabama has a long ways to go.
The only reason we were 12th was because of Nick Saban and our football program. We should easily be a 20-25th team.
Our schedule has been a joke and we are suddenly ranked #12? C'mon - It's because ES fricking PN likes to hype Bama up in any sport because it is a popular team to follow across the country because of our football.
All I saw was old, overweight, fat arse men SITTING in their seats during the entire fricking game... The TV needs to se students going ape shite instead of the shite I saw tonight.
/RANT Over but Alabama will never be a decent basketball school if we keep treating basketball the way I saw it was treated tonight in ugly arse Coleman Coliseum.

At Dayton is the only game that Bama has any chance of losing in December.

Hopefully we can use it and make it a positive. If not, we will drop some more games in December.
Perhaps. I don't really see this loss causing many problems. We seriously lack upperclassman leadership though, which is a concern. Green does his best sometimes, but in the end he lets his childish bullshite get in the way too often. Mitchell is literally a shorter version of Josh Smith.
Hopefully this game will teach Cooper and Randolph that they have got to be more aggressive if we want to win.

I was seriously at the breaking point with Tony in the first half
First game I've been to this year and his body language just annoys me. Plus, I would say 3/4 of their back cuts in the first half were his guy. Obviously I don't know that for sure but it seemed like it.
But I was pleased with him in the second half. I think we may have to accept that he's not going to grow up pouting wise. But if he just plays like he did in the second half (and make his motherfricking free throws) I'll be fine.
Jacobs' left hand hook amazes me. I've gotten to the point where I just assume its going in. But he was ABUSED when he had to come in for Jamychal late in the second half. His defense just isn't there yet.
I'm a bit worried about Randolph and Cooper. Long-term I think they'll be fine and they do play defense, but they are severely lacking in confidence offensively. Timid, timid, timid.

I hate the OOC stuff. I now have to root for OSU and the Cuse all year.

For real. When he is on, he is a fricking force to be reckoned with. But when he gets that woe is me attitude, I wish he would just leave the court because it would have less of an effect on the teams morale.

Well, maybe you should pull for a "basketball school".
How in the hell have you not been banned anyway?

I think we could also lose to Detroit and KSU.

As soon as one of the youngsters can get his confidence up that problem against the zone will disappear. I like the hell out of Grant and think he is a great coach but I am a litle dissapointed that Mitchell didn't get more looks from the high post. He has a nice midrange jumper and he has the lift to get that shot off against just about anybody.

He was too busy pouting in the corner to do what Grant probably drew up but I agree with you.
You know how Green had the cone to jesus suspension last year? Mitchell needs that now.
