I agree and I hope you’re correct. He’s like my 3rd or 4th choice I truly hope he turns it down.
I honestly like the guy but still think we can do better. He’s got no stress at OU. At LSU he will have more stress to win nattys. We just fired a guess less than 2 years after he out the best team in college football on the fiend. It’s LSU that’s how we operate

He'd be, and I mean this wholeheartedly, INSANE to leave OU for LSU... A true blueblood program, in which he's usually in the CFP discussion... Clean water, air, people etc.. to give that all up for Chiraq-Lite and to have to deal with this on gameday?

Don't see it happening...

This might be the most absurd thing I have read on here.

OU is in their longest drought for a National Championship basically since they started the program and have fired exactly ZERO coaches. They are ready to hand Lincoln a contract bigger than Jimbo with 5% of Jimbo’s resume.

Unless of course you realize your program will never be what it once was an expectations have drastically lowered.

LSU has been straight up denied by Jimbo Fisher.

Mel Tucker? Denied.

Now appears Riley...denied.

But here comes the Jimbo, Mel and Riley all suck and they never wanted any of them rants!!

I know one thing....good luck with Bill O'Brian. If Aranda denied the job too, LSU is screwed and all of this is proof of where they program is at.

Not a desired destination for the elite coaches....that is a fact at this point!!!

Why? Florida did the same thing and in a shorter timeline.

Florida won 2 championships post-Saban? I must have missed that.

If you mean post-Spurrier, he left in 2001. Florida won with Urban Meyer in 2006 and 2008. Meyer is universally recognized as an elite college coach. He also won a championship with Ohio St. in 2014 after he left Florida.

LSU won a championship with Les Miles (2007) and Ed Orgeron (2019). They are universally recognized as sub-par coaches. Unlike Meyer, they will never win a championship at another school.

LSU has won a national championship with their current coach and 2 coaches prior to that.

Again, pretty impressive for LSU, don't you agree? It remains to be seen whether Alabama will have similar success post-Saban.

Not even on the list.

Woody learned that lesson the first time. LSU fans don't want Jimbo.

No, that is your opinion. A fact looks like this:

A&M hasn’t won a title since Adolf Hitler was ruling Germany

I sincerely hope Riley stays at OU!

Much prefer Aranda for LSU.

Aranda mops the floor with Riley
when it comes to coaching.

Aranda will also bring in a solid OC.

LR has done a P!$$ poor job of handling the pr on all of this. If he wasn’t listening he could have made a statement to that effect. Taking a day for personal business during game week and a weak explanation for it fueled all of the rumors, along with people who don’t have a clue but act like they have insider info. Personally I think he’s been listening and talking to LSU, which I think he would be a fool not to. I’m sure this will drive his salary up which I am totally against. I think he’s already over compensated for the job he’s doing, but that’s how the game is played.

I agree with all of this. It would be impressive if LSU can hire LR away from Oklahoma but anyone laughing at the idea that LR is even considering LSU's supposed offer is fooling himself.

Nice job cutting off the quote and using what you wanted. OU isn’t giving Riley 12 million, it’s just not happening. Yes OU is in the longest drought and nowhere did I say Lincoln was THE guy. I said there are National Championship expectations every year at Oklahoma. If you boot Riley, who do you hire? Right now, OU has the #1 class in 2023 and sits at 8 in 2022. There’s something off about this team this year and any sensible OU fan knows it. We’ll see how they respond this weekend, but OU will be back in the National title conversation in the foreseeable future. Saying they will never be what they were is just being a troll. The recruiting at OU has gotten better and the move to the SEC will boost that. Could be a rough first few years but the path to success is being paved now. If you would just stop blindly hating OU, you could see that, but then we all wouldn’t be blessed with your amazing insight

Bragging about this as evidence that you’re capable of being anywhere close to SEC Champs shows you’re not serious. Sad.

Sucks to be completely wrong in not only life but not knowing anything about your own fanbase or football operations.

LSU #1 Choice is Fisher

Tucker and Fisher Deny LSU

Fisher Denies LSU & Stoops Contacted

O'Brien now in consideration too

So seems Riley isn't interested. But I would love to see him at LSU. Piss off OU and make all the LSU fans think they pulled off something special....only to fire him in 3 more years. Be doing OU a favor in the long run.
