This author is terrible. He just lists random things without any sort of analysis or method.

At the bottom of his post, he says "outside of Chad Jones".

I'm sure it's been said but I think Blackmon is a way bigger bust that dyer.

Damn, didn't know that. In that case he should definitely be on the list.

Why? He was a very big contributor, just didn't live up to the hype.

Chris Davenport was the only LSU bust recently...if you want to go back further, throw Xavier Carter in there as well.

What are you talking about?

He played for the Louisiana Swashbucklers:

There have been probably been 100-150 5-star players to go through the SEC in the BCS era.

If you think a DT who had 77 tackles, 22 tackles for loss, 8 sacks and an INT in 3 seasons deserves to be on a list of just 10 busts then you're quite dumb.

Literally the only players that should be on this list are guys bad enough they couldnt even play. Like Chris Davenport. Like BJ Scott. Like Tyler Love.

One of this articles prerequisites, is the "bust" be in the top 10 of that recruiting class year. Not just a 5 star. Tyler Love (#21) and BJ Scott (#26) fell outside of that prerequisite.

He was the composite #5 overall player. Those aren't stellar stats, not 5 star stats. If Ronald Powell and Dyer deserve to be on the list, Anthony Johnson definitely does.

Brown is a bust if bust is defined as someone that doesn't live up to their potential at that school. But I'm still a Bryce Brown fan. He's a good kid surrounded by some not as good people. He would have been a very good back at UT and will continue to succeed in the NFL.

Didn't read all 6 pages, but you have to add Tyler Love. 5 star OL who never started and decided to forego his final year of eligibility.

10 SEC 5 star recruits who were busts.
Love and Scott should be on the list

love's not a bust ... that was as much about potential as anything ... dude was only 275 in hs, not some physically dominating specimen at 320 ...

scott was a bust, but that could be the coach's inability to find one place for him ...

None of the three were "busts". Starters are not busts

That was the "Order Restorer" Barrett Jones.
