Way better talent? They went 5-7.
In one year the Aggies improved the total offense from ranked 101 to 48.

Arkansas offense looks like an unstoppable juggernaut.

Razorback's swelling up their balls after last night's dismantling of UAPB in front of a less than capacity crowd at hallowed War Memorial Stadium.
Oh Lord it's hard to be humble
When you put 70 points on U-A-B-P.
I can't wait to look in the mirror
Cause my balls gettin' bigger each day.
We're headed to Atlanta,
Cause we must have one hell of a team.
Oh Lord it's hard to be humble
When you're a big-nutted Razorback fan!

quote:it wasn't from lack of talent, a&m had one of the highest roster talent ratings in cfb in 2023, in fact they were 4th country, only behind Alabama, Georgia, and Ohio State.

Arkansas is sitting at 26th for this season, which is honestly better than I thought it would be.

Geez. It should be against the law to play teams like Pine Bluff Elementary and Murray High School. Flat out illegal.
And then to draw some sort of conclusion from it is utterly ridiculous.
Such disrespect for the SEC to not only allow, but support these types of OOC beat-downs just in order to falsely elevate the conference.

Pine Bluff dawg. PINE BLUFF...

They only had four players drafted this year. Other West teams like Alabama in comparison had more than doubled that amount. LSU had six drafted and Auburn had five. The only others that drafted less in the division are Arkansas, Ole Miss and Mississippi State.
They simply don't have the players.

You were throwing downfield while up by 63 on the last drive in the 4th quarter...

Yeah, but with the 3rd string QB, a walk on RB and a 29 year old freshman, LoL!!. They need to get their reps too.
Seriously, UAPB is probably the 7th best college team in Arkansas. UA, AState, UCA, Harding, Ouachita, Henderson, and then UAPB (unless Tech, SAU or UAM is having a good year)
Only thing this Hog fan learned last night, is that TG isn't as accurate as I hoped. Our 2ndary is porous. And the backup QB SIngleton is better than any backup QB the Hogs have ever had.

I think pretty much any offense (even the semen holes) is capable of that against air.

Poor coaching or not, if you don't have the players then you're not going to win enough.
He still improved the total offense over 50 spots but he didn't have much to work with.

Yet only four draft picks says NFL scouts and GMs.

We are not worried about shutouts, we just like to win. Maybe Arkansas can learn from us.

I understand that the NFL had a good look at the Aggies and didn't find much talent regardless of the bad coaching excuse.

It is.
I will mention that Arkansas fans might want to consider something:
In 2015, Mizzou's offense was horrible. In 2016, Josh Heupel was the new OC under Barry Odom. Drew Lock was now a Sophomore. Early that season, Mizzou beat Delaware State 79-0. They also put up 61 on Eastern Michigan.
However, the Tigers finished 4-8, and scored just 7 vs. LSU, 11 vs. West Virginia, and 14 vs. Florida.
Mizzou ended up being considerably better offensively than they were in 2015, but they were still a bad team.
So, will Arkansas be better this year? Probably so, but beyond that, you can't assume much.

How we do against Oklahoma State will determine a lot with how our season will go
