Their plan was to offer a great D coord a great deal, but within reason.
LSU overshot on the counter-offer. That price tag is too high for Aranda as DC. It's not that aTm couldn't match, it's more likely they didn't see the value at that price.

Crazy, that's what many LSU fans said about Jimbo last year. But for some reason the reaction was totally different

But, this kind of money for a coordinator, as good as he may be, seems a bit of a different situation from HC pricing, which Jimmy Sexton and Saban chasing programs have already caused to overinflate.

Like...do you realize LSU hasn't won the SEC West or SEC since 2011?
