Sure they did. I just read the whole thread. Lots of bitching and whining. It was an embarassing look tbh.

Lots of bitching about refs in their "can't handle any criticism so we hide out on our own board" game thread on the auburn board.

Auburn just ran out of gas.

Ran out of gas? What is your excuse for the FIRST half, when auburn was getting run out of the gym?

The 1st half lead that required the 2nd half comeback is why Auburn ran out of gas, Auburn played the 2nd half at a 110 point a game pace. If you watched the game Auburn was sleep walking in the 1st half and USCe hammered Auburn for it. The 2nd half was a more accurate portrayal of the two teams. My guess is a win over UK and USCe losing 6 straight contributed to what happened in the 1st half.

The refs were fine. Other than stopping play for no reason on that loose ball scramble that Auburn got and hit a 3 cutting the lead to 2. Instead after looking at the scorers table and giving the ball to Auburn, USC managed a defensive stop maintaining the lead at 5 and then went up 8 on the next possession. You could see the wind drop from Auburn's comeback sails in that sequence. I have no idea why the ref stopped play since I was at the game. It seemed insane, but refs tend to do that a lot these days so I didn't consider it anything other than unfortunate for Auburn.

I did watch the game, and in the first half USC was simply dominant - hotter shooting, better rebounding and shot blocking, and overall hustle. USC coasted in the second half after being up 21 at the break.

That's laughable. Auburn had 1 FG, the SEC's leading scoring team managed 1 FG in the first 11 minutes of the game. Explain that...

USCe and the arena were on pins and needles the entire 2nd half. You could see Auburn came out to play and that the 26 point lead might not be enough. When they finally took control for good with 2 minutes left the crowd went nuts because they knew their team had fought and beaten a good team. They deserved the win.
