Plus all of the skyboxes.

I know BDS has both 24 and 16 seat suites. With 16 seat suites making up the vast majority. Do you happen to know the break down?

We have a lot. The entire south endzone. All of the skyboxes and then all of the indoor club seats. The north endzone expansion is 100% chair backs as well.

I have no clue

If I had to guess, I'd say there are 4 24 seat skyboxes. I'm just trying to think of ones that are noticeably bigger than the others and all I can think of are 4.

I figured you did. What percentage of your stadium would you say that is though?

Yeah, your website isn't great about giving out that info. But most aren't, if that's any consolation.

I'm guessing you've never sat in the old fart section of Sanford? People will bitch at you all game if you stand.

Section 109. Only a few old farts. Overall a pretty good section.

The entire West Upper has chairbacks

Is that entire upper deck for season ticket holders? I'd like to see LSU do the same with the west upper at Tiger Stadium.

I don't know enough about the different skybox setup a to give you a correct answer but we have a 132 of them so there is probably more than a few chairbacks in that number. The south endzone has 7,300 chairbacks in it and there are 8,950 club seats in the stadium. So that takes us to at minimum 16,250 chairback seats or 22.5% of the stadium. I'm guessing you would be near 30% when you factor in the skyboxes.

The expansion next year will add around 6-7k additional chairback seats.

132 according to our athletic website.

Here you can see the south endzone seats. The north endzone expansion will have the same style.

You just stand on the seat

Got to be careful doing that in Death Valley. Our row broke at the end of the 2008 Bama/LSU game. I didn't look like the first time that had happened on that row either.

No need to worry:

quote:

At Tiger Stadium, bleachers in the east, north and west sections of the lower bowl have deteriorated and will either be replaced or reinstalled depending on their condition, David said. The south section will not be treated because maintenance was done two years ago. The process starts with the removal of all bleachers in the aforementioned areas, David said. The concrete where the bleachers were removed will then be cleaned and waterproofed. David said waterproofing involves application of a topical coating to the concrete. The replacement or reinstallation of the bleachers will complete the project, making for sturdier seating on gamedays while protecting the concrete structure of the stadium for long-term use. These precautions will be complete before the first home game of the coming season on Sept. 6, David said. They will amount to $1.6 million.

The Daily Reveille

...so Tiger Stadium will looking pretty spiffy for the September 6th home opener!

I always thought the student section rows would break. They seemed pretty unsturdy and were very difficult to stand on if you were drunk and people starting jumping up and down

And as I posted earlier, all of them are getting inspected and replaced/reinstalled in time for the home opener.

So no worries!
