Campbell said Malzahn tried to get Mustain to follow him to Tulsa where he became the offensive coordinator in 2007. Mustain has also mentioned that he and his former coach speak occasionally, and that Malzahn offered him a spot as a graduate assistant on his Auburn staff.

Gus used 5 high school kids to launch a career.
Gus is just like most high level coaches, he's a snake that does whatever it takes. We've become comfortable with that.

He was granted his transfer by Nutt.
It's not the fault of anyone at Arkansas that his career went in the toilet while at USC.
He probably should have transferred to a school where he knew he could start.
