There seems to be a 10:1 bad poster/good poster ratio over there. We wouldnt be welcomed with open arms anyway.

Our board has good posters on it, who can discuss without flames when like posters are added to it from opposing schools. It enhances the board and brings more to it I think. Their shortsightedness, and "lil bro syndrome" shouldn't and doesn't affect this board and the awesomeness of this board.

The discussion going on over this on their board is pretty comical to me. They can't see the forest for the trees. The people who are against the idea all claim it will lead to their board becoming an epicenter of bickering, flaming, and trolling. Do they not read their board? Before the other day I hadn't since the downfall of Chiz and Frands, and it basically looks like the SECr but with all Auburn fans. Each little faction trolls the others and they argue with each other constantly.

Being selective, and making sure folks understand what this board is and what it is meant for, is the key. I will inform yall, that no nonBama fan gets access to this board, unless it is unanimously approved by all three of us. If it's two yay's, and an undecided.. they aren't in. No floodgates will be opened allowing everyone in. I just don't think we need to be concerned with what others are doing on their boards. Not when ours is better. I'm telling yall, there has been hardly any need for any actions on this board because everyone is respectful and has made it a good board with info and discussions. Most actions, are for double posts and things like that and the occasional rare spam.

I said this somewhere else. I really think its fear of the SEC rant spilling over there, ATPB, Cam etc.. and the shear number of bama fans on here that do nothing but flame auburn have distorted their view. They cant see past that for the few good ones who actually are adults on here

It's more than that. It's been 3 yrs since I really got after Auburn. But you'd think it was this morning with the opinions of many in the Au base. Folks can't let things go and that is a lot of what the problem is among them, imo. And as mentioned above, the boards are moderated by that boards fanbase. It's easy to let in only those that will enhance the board, refuse any you don't want or kick out any that disrupts the board.

I feel like Im in the same boat. It hasn't been 3 years, but I have played nice with auburn posters for a while.

it's not just you, it's the entire rant. Auburn gets flamed pretty heavily over there and probably more than everyone else(but its been tapering off) and some of them like the sanctuary.

Welcome to Alabama's world 2000-2007 and still today.
It basically boils down to maturity level and realizing that things shouldn't be taken personal and also realize that folks can have meaningful input, given the forum for it. That's the purpose of this board. Giving Bama fans the chance to talk about the school/program and air differences. But also, hoping to have outside perspectives, on Bama.. in a mature way. Anything beyond that, will be cause for banning from here.

Im fine with the AU posters that have access now, and wouldn't mind adding a few in the future. Its just bogus that we arent getting into theirs.
