I have made a joke or two about this on here, but this is a serious request.

Could someone link me to the information about Williams' cousin being killed, Williams being beaten up and robbed recently and Williams receiving a threat?

I have read various accounts on here, so it seems like the information is coming from a source, but I can't find anything on google. I'm interested in finding out more about this. Is this a situation where AU is potentially getting into an Aaron Hernandez thing? Is the information below accurate, credible, etc.? Seems like this would be a pretty big story if accurate.

quote:

I don't know if you have heard about what happened but about two weeks after Quille committed he's cousin was killed and Quille's family found a note basically saying Quille was next. He was then beat up and robbed at a gas station in Reserve, Louisiana. If those things never happened, Quille would still be committed to LSU.

Are you being serious? I really haven't, but I wasn't on here when the AU commitment was announced. If there is a link, could you direct me?

I tried to find an article on his cousin's death when I heard the story and had no success. Since there are so few details the search wasn't easy. I too would like to know more about the whole situation.

I'm being serious. All I have seen is LSU fans tell the situation.

I am curious as to what his committment to LSU had to do with the supposed violence.

Is the assupmtion that the committment to LSU caused the violence?

LINK to cousin being shot

only other info I could find

quote:

"basically the reason why he decommitted and maybe wants to go elsewhere is because of his home environment."

"sometime after his commitment, he attended a party at his aunt's in laplace or something like that and some thugs came by and killed his 16 year old cousin. they later found a note at the house saying that d'haquille was next."

"next day, DW gets mugged and robbed at a gas station as his cell phone and wallet are stolen."

"he then flies to colorado to stay with a relative and get away from it all. basically, he's scared to come home to that environment."

From what we are being told, the two are unrelated except for relative location (the state of Louisiana).

Park I was told it has nothing to do with recruiting or LSU. All stems from local issues where he is from.

I don't think so, but I'm sure some idiots would try to make it seem that way.

I've never seen an article about the situation or even read the kids name that was allegedly killed so I could google it. I first heard the story on one the LSU 247 board from someone relaying it from the LSU Rivals board from one of their reporters. That's about as official as I've seen it reported.

It seems to me that enough people are aware of this situation that the respective police forces of Reserve and LaPlace would have something to move on with, but I've seen nothing to indicate that either.

For the TL;DR people: I'm skeptical of the story's validity. But even if it's real, I don't think it was caused by Williams' commitment to LSU.

ETA: I just read the linked article for the first time.

If I remember correctly it was deleted his tweets about it

But the LSU board on 247 ad a report I'll paraphrase:

"basically the reason why he decommitted and maybe wants to go elsewhere is because of his home environment.

He went to a party at his Aunts house and that night his 16 yo cousin was murdered and later on that night someone found a note that had been left at the house saying Williams was next. The next day he was mugged and robbed at a gas station and they took his wallet and phone and he ran away and he was gone the next day to a family member in Co

I'm not sure if it was anything initiated by him, nothing on the posts says that but he was definitely a target

It looks like he decommitted prior to this tragic incident.

He should play at CU. He can get into the NFL from that school and has a relative there. Thats pretty far form BR.
