We all know winning the line of scrimmage wins championships.

Any nominations?

It's going to be hard to beat South Carolina.

I saw their new depth chart today.

Everyone talks about Clowney and the defense (rightly so) but check out these beasts on the OL.

LINK

OT: Corey Robinson 6-8 341 JR
OT: Brandon Shell 6-6 323 SO
OG: AJ Cann 6-4 314 JR
OG: Ronald Patrick 6-2 315 SR
C: Cody Waldrop 6-2 319 FR
TE: Rory Anderson 6-5 242 JR

If you've got a better one, post them.

Same with defensive line.

Carolina's:

DE Chaz Sutton 6-5 263 SR
DT JT Surrat 6-2 307 JR
DT Kelsey Quarles 6-4 298 JR
DE Jadaveon Clowney 6-6 274 JR

I concur... Carolina has the bodies up front on both the OL and DL to win the East for sure... Glad we dont play you guys this season.

Not trying to hijack... But in 2015 the Ole Miss Oline is gonna be beastly... Tunsil and Golson anchoring the tackle positions... Ethan Hutson at Center and Rod Taylor and Damien Mama holding down the Guard positions... We will have RS seniors and juniors to back those guys up as well.

That's some size for 4-3 ends. Watching the Capital One bowl the lbs really jumped off the screen. I am interested to see how the new ones look.

We don't have a Clowney, but no other SEC team does either.

I'm confident that the defensive line is one area where we can go toe to toe with any SEC team though.

DE Bud Dupree, Sr. 6'4 254
DT Mister Cobble, Sr. 6'0 340
DT Donte Rumph, Sr. 6'3 323
DE Za'Darius Smith, Jr. 6'6 257

Your DE's need 30 more pounds of muscle. Right now they are just monster OLB's but too slow, so they are DE's.

Also, 6-0 340 is fat, not athletic. What did we learn from Georgia's John Jenkins last year?

Bud Dupree was one of the best pash rushers in the SEC last season as a linebacker.

I stand by my statement.

ETA: Mister Cobble carries his 340 well.

It's obvious that you're in a no win situation. The OP asked anyone if their teams height/weight stacked up against USCe, you did that and now they are too slow.

That O-Line will never live up to the performance put on by last year's GOAT of an O-line. Try again.

And experience.

And Kentucky's stacks up pretty well on DL.

Line of Scrimmage is OL and DL.

What's the deal with Kentucky's OL?

These arguments are fun as a non-SEC fan. During our run ins with LSU and Auburn we got shite about the size when in reality we were bigger than LSU and slightly less than Auburn (they were big). That meant shite at the end of the day. Mingo probably played at times around 225 but no one would mind having a mingo on their dline.

Pretty sure 35-40% of those were against Georgia.

Lost two starters in Larry Warford and Matt Smith.

Projected starters are:

LT Darrian Miller, Jr. 6'5 288
LG Teven Eatmon-Nared, Jr. 6'7 339
C Zach Myers, RS Fr. 6'3 289
RG Kevin Mitchell, Sr. 6'6 296
RT Jordan Swindle, So. 6'7 299

And since you included TE... Tyler Robinson, Sr. 6'3 261

Damn... I didn't know Kentucky had it going on like that.

Kentucky and Carolina will dominate the lines of scrimmage in 2013?

Ten, even five years ago, who would have ever thought that sentence would be spoken?
