2nd Big 12 team, always going to be enough to get you into the BCS (well other than last year, I think K-State was 2nd). And yes political crap needs to go bye bye.

If LSU finishes in the Top4 OR Mizzou beats A&M, LSU is BCS-bound (assuming a Florida loss to FSU).
Hell, LSU might get picked by Rose/Fiesta over A&M even if neither of those things happen.
The odds are in LSU's favor at this point (there are ways to guarantee LSU's BCS spot, and even if those things don't happen, LSU may still be chosen over A&M). Not to say A&M isn't in the discussion, they certainly are squarely in the discussion, but there are too many scenarios in LSU's favor as it currently stands (Rose preferring LSU over A&M if Fiesta takes Notre Dame, LSU potentially finishing in Top4, Fiesta with a flip-a-coin decision about LSU/A&M, A&M out of sight the next two weeks while LSU is on CBS both weeks, LSU being a bigger name than A&M and ranked higher, etc).
