I have never understood the concept of giving God credit for wins or Satan credit for losses. But to each his own. Do any of you seriously believe that your team has some sort of special place with God?

(in the interest of transparency, I created this thread after reading the following comment on an auburn rant during the Ole Miss game:)
quote:

Our team is the team that God loves and supports and In defeat it is satan that drains our joy. Coach Chizic is a Godly man that deserves to win. We will not turn our back on the values that brought us a mnc.

We endured a 10 year drought after Jackie made a bargain with the football gods to sacrifice 10 years for a shot at the SEC title.

Misspelling his name is more of your thing.

If I believed in God, I'd believe he were a Bama fan. The guy would have to be pretty fricking smart, right?

I believe in God, I just like to think He has a better handle on the universe than we football fans. I see God as creating trees rather than poisoning them.

if you're team is named 'Auburn' yes.

the problem here being, if God wants your team to win Satan wants your team to lose.

see 2012-13 Auburn as an example.

No, he poisons trees, muslims, and gays. And he loves winning football. That's how god is.

God does not pick winners and losers. The devil can grant you riches on earth, you get Gods reward in heaven.
