Sankey definitely does not seem to like Ole Miss. I got to meet and talk to the man at the 2016 NCAA Convention in San Antonio as part of a group of SEC law students. There was no joy in his voice when we came up and he actively made a point to say he doesn't like right field and will be exploring ways to get beer out of the stadium. frick that guy

I wish nothing but bad things for that guy.

He could have made this go away before like Slive always did - the Slive rule was "nobody rats." I would, if that's the case, get somebody like Jeff Long at Arkansas to be our back-channel. He's well-respected and he probably has the foresight to realize us going down due to Leo will lead to State going down and LSU going down and how long before the SEC is the Southwest Conference?

The shitty thing is that we have next to no leverage with Sankey. What're we gonna do? Leave the conference? It doesn't matter if he basically locks us out from the other 13 schools because we're completely dependent on the SEC paycheck. That paycheck's what keeps us from just being a public school in Mississippi

If there is dirt on fellow SEC schools and we have the goods. Now would be a good time to let him know about it. Don't be afraid to leverage negative press on the SEC for support from the SEC office.

As far as I'm concerned, the SEC is not our friend. So what if we piss the head office off.

Ole Miss should do what ever is necessary to protect Ole Miss screw the SEC.

If OM was actually concerned about protecting OM we would have fired Freeze and started with a new slate.

Dores, just a few months ago you were calling for Bjork to be fired. At least you have dropped that claim.

You still can't name one misdeed by Freeze. Is that the attitude of a Christian?

Bjork, I really could care less about but if he was replaced it wouldn't bother me one bit. The guy sat family members in a room and lied to their face about what was in the NOA. Lied to the parents of kids who took his word and chose to come to OM. He didn't stretch the truth, he flat lied. He has made decent hires though in some of the smaller sports. I'd let him choose the new football coach.

Attitude of a Christian? I'm not sure what anyone's faith has to do with any of this.

It must be hard walking around with that hard on for Hugh Freeze, but in your case it might be a small issue.

This isn't the Spirit. People can say things here that aren't covered in red and blue. I try to see things for every side. I understand why some want to support Freeze in this. Unfortunately for me I just don't think he is irreplaceable. Since I feel that way, why take the risk of running the program completely to the bottom. Why not fire Freeze, lick your wounds, and get the NCAA off your Back? I just don't believe in thinking he had no clue these things were going on.

I'll continue to support. I just don't like the move. If we get hit hard with 20+ scholarships and a two year bowl ban and suck in 2017 do we not fire him anyway after two straight horrible seasons??

Look I responded to your comment without mention of some gay ish about another man's junk.

Last night I learned Sankey's daughter is some Moon Pie-faced uggo at State, so we're definitely fricked. Explains why he hasn't so much as lifted a finger to keep the conference from snitching on one another. Triple frick that guy

I still don't understand why Freeze is at fault in your eyes.

There is nothing that the NCAA has produced that would lead me to believe that Hugh Freeze is out there trying to cheat his way to the top.

All the most serious claims against Ole Miss, now that they have been brought to light, have been shown to be highly questionable.

There is no reason to offer up Freeze, thinking the NCAA will go light on Ole Miss. Ole Miss has been in SEC purgatory for 55 years, until Freeze arrived and brought the program a solid plan to build the program.

So why give the NCAA and the SEC what they want, a program in complete disarray and no true leadership and no true leader in the program?

Johnny Vaught was the last program changing coach that Ole Miss hired. That was 1947, it took 70 years to get the next and you would roll the dice and offer up Freeze to the NCAA because of the fear of living through 5 years of scholly reductions. You don't understand the history of Ole Miss recruiting very well.

Every SEC coach has spent the last 50 years telling recruits they don't want to go to Ole Miss because we are a bunch of racist. There's your scholarship reduction. What difference does it make if you have them and can only recruit 2 and 3 star recruits.

For the first time in school history, Freeze was able to get those 4 and 5 star recruits and their families to come to Ole Miss and see for themselves. And he has been able to convince them Ole Miss was worth their committment.

Freeze has beaten bama twice, won a Sugar Bowl and been a great leader for our players and school.

Yet in your eyes, he is a liar and a cheat and doesn't deserve a 2nd chance to right the ship. A ship that was probably knocked off course due to the under handed dealings of a coach from a rival school who was put on the infraction committee by a SEC president that has a daughter that attends state.

It's not a conspiracy theory if the facts lead you to the simpliest answer. There have been too many coincendences occur to see that this has been a witch hunt to rid Ole Miss of Hugh Freeze.

And you are so weak minded and of so little character that you would give in to the NCAA and the SEC. I've been a Rebel for 40 years. I've been laughed at, called a racist and a loser for a long time. I spent my life as a Rebel, attempting to change that perception by supporting change at our university to change people's perception of OLe Miss.

Without evidence of Freeze's involvement with paying for players and giving recruits impermissible benefits, the SEC, NCAA and state can go to hell.

So then in your eyes he's the most ignorant and blind coach in history

I don't think we should fire Freeze, but come on now...

Dores has a hard time dealing with facts.

He needs to go to the Mississippi Southern board. Dores did not graduate from Ole Miss.

Moron Nation,

I am printing up some fine t-shirts that you might be interested in purchasing. They read:

Missisnitchie State
Where lying is tradition.

You guys keep being state, and we will watch how this blows up in your faces.

If Freeze leaves you think we will get another coach that recruits like him? Who else is going to bring in the #1 QB. Nobody. I have been a rebel fan for my entire life. Most of those years we were arse. There is a reason we are hanging on to freeze.

After 4 years of investigatimg the NCAA found very little on their own. Most of the violations under Freeze's watch were self reported.

Not until 3 players from a rival school make claims of being given free gear and money do they have a case for lack of institutional control. That's all they got. And so far those claims have been denied by those boosters and their is very little to colloborate their stories. Their own friends and family didn't even confirm their claims when interviewed by the NCAA.

If the NCAA couldn't find the bagmen, it appears that state conspired to bring the bagmen to the NCAA.

I just don't believe their stories. Why would anyone on the Ole Miss side attempt to give to state lean recruits gear and money? With an ongoing investigation for the last 4 years. I wouldn't have gone out of my way to waste a Hotty Toddy on either of them. Why would you give them money before they signed?

I call bull shite.

That's the best post all year. Do you remember when Rosebowl's twitter was hacked? Wasn't MSU's AD feeding him information? There's a lot of evidence of collusion.
