CHF broke down the second quarter woes in Texas pretty well.
We had 3 possessions. One we had a holding call set us back and get off schedule. The next one where we turned it over on downs while in FG range he put on himself for getting "greedy". The third one was the fluke play where the ball feel out of Bo's hand. I haven't re-watched that play, but Freeze said Moncrief was wide open on that one and it might have gone for 6 if not for that fluke.
So, really not a lot of execution problems in the 2nd quarter. I think if we had converted on 4th down or just kicked a FG, that would have kept a little momentum on our side and slowed TX down some. And if that fluke ball drop didn't happen we would have probably scored there, too.

No.
haven't been since expansion but I had a field pass for the 2008 game. I could hear crickets compared to how loud it was on the field for the 2009 Egg Bowl.

rewatched the game last night. Freeze must have gotten confused because Wallace was throwing to Jeff Scott in a screen pass in the flats.

Maybe he was running that Madden play where you fake the screen and hit the go route?

I'll say as long as we avoid stupid arse shite we'll be in it. If not, it'll be similar to last year.
We'll lose 41-31 if we manage mistakes.
49-23 if we don't.

Most likely.... Ole Miss Wins 75-14 Bama's whole team gets swine flu but still scores two touchdowns with no one on the field.

I hope the line is around 17 so I can take the points.
35-24 Bammer

Bo throws a TD to Engram, Moncrief And Quon catches his first as well... Scott finds the endzone too and we win 31-27 .... Seriously... I can see it now.

31-20 Bama. If we get a TO or ST score we might be in the game late. If we turn it over it give them a ST score we will be down 14+ going into the 4th.

Not ready to make a prediction yet, but I'm watching the game from last year and two things are really standing out from the 1st quarter.
1) The only time we stopped the run was when we put 8 or more in the box. That could really hurt us if it happens again. McCarron is even more confident this year than last.
2) Several of their drives were set up by short fields off of shanked punts. Tyler Campbell may keep us in the game early

I think we cover the spread

Bo himself said that he was checking down on the play but "should've gone with my first read" who was Donte.

38-20 Bama.
We go into half time at 14-10 them and our defense plays well the 1st half. 2nd half is when Saban realizes all he has to do to beat us is go to the air and they break it open.

Bama didn't exactly impress me against VT and Texas A&M.Against VT their OLine struggled and against A&M their secondary struggled.I don't think this team is as good as the last two Bama teams but the only obstacles left on their schedule is us,LSU,and maybe The SEC Championship game.I think we can compete with Bama but for us to win Bro Wallace has to play a Heisman level kind of game and our DLine has to get pressure on McCarron. At the end of the day I think Bama stops are running game.Bro plays a solid game but forces a couple of passes he shouldn't and finishes the game something like 24 out of 38 for 240 yards 2 touchdowns and 2 picks.I think the DLine will have some success but they will burn our secondary deep a couple of times.I think we will be competitive but lose 42 to 24.

I'm not predicting a score or outcome.
But what I do know is that Bama is unbeatable. A&M wore them out on offense, and to me there is no reason Bo, MonQuon, Engram, Scott can't do the same.
IF we play the perfect game and have some things go out way (which never happens against Bama) it's possible.
