Bounce back tomorrow. Don't lose the series to a really bad A&M team.

Man I don’t even know about the most talented part. Not in several areas at least.

What is Hoglund’s deal? Don’t want to speak ill of him but it’s like he’s super unlucky or just not a competitor

I agree we are lacking in several areas. But we also have a lineup that leads the SEC in batting average, top 5 in the SEC in runs scored, and have two weekend starters that can go head to head with anybody in the country when healthy. And yet, our only decent series wins all year are VS South Carolina and opening weekend in Texas (I have no idea how we won all 3 of those games BTW)

Head coach Mike Bianco said afterwards Hoglund felt forearm stiffness on a few of his pitches during a bullpen session in pregame warmups.

Not a good thing to hear. He's probably done for the year.

Forearm stiffness are two of the scariest words for a pitcher. It’s mostly commonly associated with the ulnar collateral ligament in the inside of the elbow. A tear of the UCL, confirmed by an MRI, typically results in Tommy John surgery.

Season is over for us if Hoglund is done.

I’m no pitching guru, but a little stiffness doesn’t seem like a reason for us to think he’d be completely done so quickly. I don’t know how you’d go from starting the game and being a single pitch from no runs to done without some sort of catastrophic moment which I did not see. That said, we scored eight runs on a Friday night. That absolutely should have equaled a win and yet it did not.

UCL injuries are really weird. It isn't like tearing an ACL or breaking a bone when you know right away. Hoglund will need an MRI to determine the severity.

Let's hope he doesn't need TJ and we can just rest him until regionals start.

Does anyone else feel like Chatagnier has been shitting the bed ever since he came back from his injury? I feel like his plate presence is dropping dramatically from being our best hitter (outside Elko), and he has been committing a lot lot more fielding mistakes.

We follow up allowing the grand slam by hitting into the bases loaded double play to what can only be described as a shitty A&M team. I just don’t think it’s our year, boys.

Should have walked him every single time except for when Nikhazy was pitching.
