We sure better play a little better. Is Wichita good again this year? I don’t pay attention to anybody but us in basketball.

Ehh they look worse than last year. They've only lost to P5 teams and have beaten a bunch of nobodies, so I think that looks optimistic for us.

KenPom has them at 96 and their coach got fired before the year. I think they lost nearly every starter from last year with transfers.

Well turns out our “elite defense” is actually average against good teams. Just got wrecked by an interim coach at home

I guess that’s a bad loss. We have a ways to go. At least the season is young.

Love the optimism. I’m going to keep watching them but I don’t see the lights coming on for the entire team this year. Too many guys have to grow too much to make it work. Not having a real conference schedule hurt us bad.

I definitely thought we might get this one. Wichita has an interim head coach and a bunch of new players. Unfortunately, we let a player have a career night. I believe that has become a trend for us over the past two seasons.
This is apparently going to have to be a committee thing for us offensively this season, but honestly scoring 79 at home should have been enough if our defense was all it's cracked up to be. The truth is, we have played three decent (just decent I say) teams so far and we are 0-3 against them. Not good.
We cannot shoot free throws right now. We don't have much bench play. Romello White is not very athletic (sorry to pick on Romello). What is wrong with Sy? I don't think our defense is as good as we thought it was. We certainly miss Tyree (shocker I know). The conference is fairly balanced, so that's good. And Mittitti Tate lost at home to sorry arse Kentucky and Alabama won at Tennessee.

The game was close but once we go behind we try to hard. We eliminate playing from the post and start jacking up 3s.
