Guy has slowly been putting together a great program. I firmly believe he was instrumental in 2004 defensive success. I like Kiffin, but wouldn’t have minded Allen hire

I would still take Kiffin if given the choice. He's a perfect fit at Indiana

I'll be honest. If I had to choose between kiffin or rehiring Freeze as HC, I would take Freeze for 2 reasons

1) he has won and recruited at a high level here
2) he loves Ole Miss and isn't a risk to jump to a bigger job

That is the thing that scares me with Kiffin in regards to jumping ship if he gets us to a Freeze '14-'15 level program

Freeze was likely not going to build consistently at Ole Miss. He caught lightning in a bottle by having Denzel Nkemdiche on the team and did a great job selling pieces around Denzel. The 2016 class was rated highly but absolute trash outside of about 5 players. He was not able to attract a good DC and ended up hiring Wesley McGriff.

He made a few bad coaching hires. I think his coaching ability and recruiting at Liberty proves he would have been able to build us up.

Maybe. I’m not sure he survives after 2018 win Longo/McGriff combo.

There’s also the whole NCAA disaster and national embarrassment for getting caught hiring hookers on your work phone.

No one cares that he hired a hooker.

If Luke won 6 games with that team, he would win 8-9 easy.

And him hiring hookers for himself shouldn't matter. He wins games.

If the team didn’t get kill with injuries in 2016 and if Tunsil’s step dad didn’t run to the NCAA we would probably be at worst in the same position with this years roster under Freeze. If those 2 things don’t happen we probably sign another highly recruited class the following year. The damage was done in 2016 and the 2 coordinators hires were both pretty awful. This Kiffin staff is light years ahead of any of Freeze’s staff from a coaching standpoint.

I don't, but doing so on your work phone requires a special amount of stupidity and hubris.
