Yeah the defense was elite today. Walter Nolen is a bad bad man. Perkins played really well too.

Can we not put Unmanlien and Perkins on the field at the same time?

This was from Kiffin’s post game press conference. Not sure I realized Perkins wanted to leave at some point.

I guess Perkins is just going to be the 2024 version of Isaac Gross. Too small to play the position but just makes play after play.

So if we win out minus beating UGA, what does that get us? And if we win out completely?

Last year the no. 9 through 12 teams all had two losses. Wiki. The playoff format is:

quote:

The four highest-ranked conference champions will be seeded one through four and will receive a first-round bye. The fifth conference champion will be seeded where it was ranked or at No. 12 if it is outside the top 12 rankings. Non-conference champions ranked in the top four will be seeded beginning at No. 5. Because of this, the seeding, 1 through 12, could look different than the final rankings.

College Football Playoff.

So five conference champs get an automatic bid. Our worst case scenario is that somone from outside the top 12 is a conference champ and steals a spot and there are a bunch of two loss teams.

Yep, need the top 4 conference champs to all be top 12 teams so a spot isn't taken.

As of right now, the playoffs would be (using current AP poll):

(1) Texas
(2) Ohio State
(3) Miami
(4) Iowa State

(5) Oregon v. (12) Navy
(6) Penn State v. (11) Clemson
(7) UGA v. (10) Ole Miss
(8) Alabama v. (9) Tennessee

Currently, #12 ND is the first team out.

Not when Umanlielen is in a walking boot

Could definitely be wrong but I don't think a sprained ankle warrants a walking boot. I guess I could see them using it as an additional precaution.

They use them in high ankle sprains which would be in lines with the return timeline I heard. Hoping they are wrong and he will be back this week from that cut block by the UK Tackle.
