This is where I'm at.
It's the ultimate, unprecedented troll of all times and I think at least Lacy is in on it. The team may also be per his team meeting a couple weeks ago.
Don't say shite, I'm not going anywhere. Work with me on this one.
How does Lacy stand in his office and cut up with him, on air and then post on X the sip ain't for Kiffin on the same day, if it isn't a troll. It's diabolical but would it really shock you if it were accurate?

6D chess kiffin is stringing them both along telling them he wants to finish the season first to keep them waiting until the transfer portal opens. The players from both teams start getting hyped about the idea of playing for him and start imagining what their role is gonna look like in his system. He them announces he's staying and then pulls all their top players

Dude, plunders and pillages two rosters and comes out a hero here. Not a bad plan.
Like I said, if that's where this is going, it wouldn't shock me.

If you ignore all the bs, it’s pretty obvious he’s staying.
Y’all should beat us handily in the egg bowl, and yall could potentially get an “easy” path to the natty.
What could Kiffin do at LSU/Florida that he couldn’t (potentially) do at OM? I don’t subscribe to him not being able to win it all at OM. That’s coming from a dawg.

NIL and portal has upended who could and could not win a natty. It’s no longer 5-10 teams with a shot. Anyone who is willing to spend has an opportunity now.
Blue bloods are having a hard time acknowledging this while the schools that have wanted to breakthrough are taking advantage of the opportunity at hand.

Now anyone can pay players not just the ones Mark Emmert approved.

My gut feeling is LSU but who knows. Would be a heck of a troll if he stayed. He has a chance to build a real legacy at Ole Miss and he knows that. Might keep him in Oxford for a while longer.

He is absolutely ruining his legacy and mark on the program for every day he drags this out and inevitably bolts . I just don’t see how he decides to stay after all this . This has been so insulting to fans and boosters and donors .

It’s upsetting he won’t allow OM fans to enjoy this. He is aware of what it has taken to get here. OM has answered his calls to the best of my knowledge. It’s just purely selfish and definitely insulting to the fanbase and program. He has to be aware of this very valid perception of the situation. And I am very much in the camp of “What have you won?” Shot to go to playoffs this year is cool. But his schedule has been pretty favorable in terms of SEC play in recent years. He could never beat Bama. I don’t care either way. Used to be a big advocate for this guy but he’s handled this very poorly at 50 years of age no less. Biggest issue is not letting fans enjoy this run.

I’m guessing he wants to coach the egg bowl because he doesn’t want to give Ole Miss a loophole to not pay him his playoff bonus using the argument that he didn’t coach us the final game that solidified us as a playoff team.
Hopefully the contract was worded as “coaches Ole Miss in a playoff game” and not “get Ole Miss a playoff appearance”.

It’s almost certainly playoff appearance.

The bonus is likely 750k to $1mil and that isn't going to be enough to hold anything up one way or the other
