Yeah. We keep our middle reliever in the game rather than bringing in our closer. Then we dust off a guy who was an ERA of 9 and SEC batters are hitting 500 against. Almost like Bianco was managing to lose. Like for real.

It is inexcusable to bring in Brayden Jones in this game. I'm sorry but he has shown about 50 times this year that he can't be trusted. Bianco needs to be fired for this boneheaded decision.

Glad we hired a pitching coach for these in game adjustments and doing things different after 25 years of Bianco managing pitchers lolololol

Bianco needs to walk out to the pitcher's mound with a microphone and apologize to the fans for his incompetence. He should resign after apologizing.

I really feel bad for the players. They did what they needed to win the game, but Bianco had to be a complete fool and give the game away.

Connor Spencer is our Sr closer with an ERA under 2.00. He pitched 1.1 innings in the previous week, and gave up 0 hits.
We bring him in the game in the top of the 9th and we win the series. It's as simple as that.
That loss might be the difference in us hosting or not. That's the kind of game that can turn your season one way or the other.

I don’t think I’ll go that far.. we have some absolute dumpsters coming up we can beat with 2-13 USC next weekend. I’m not panicking. I also am still not sure how good we are halfway through conference play

I get giving jones a chance but you’d think after the 3rd blown save they would send someone else out there.
Jones is who he is at this point. Not on him. On the staff to know who to throw. 100% on mangrum and Bianco. They blew the game.

It goes both ways. Our best series win is against UK and they gave us all we could handle. Blew games against UT and AR. I want to see us actually beat a good Sec team 2/3 before I think we can host or even win a regional. So far the 2 super regional type games we’ve played we shite the bed.

We only need 6 or 7 more wins to be a host.. 16-14.. with who we’ve got left that should be fairly easy to do ( again.. not even sure how good we are.. but we have the bottom of the league left on the schedule )

This team is talented enough to do more than just host. If the coaches would get out of their way and put the right guys out there we could be a national seed.

The frustrating thing about this weekend is if you win a series against a team like Tennessee you have a decent shot at being a top 8 seed.

Win all 5 series we have left or lose 1 and sweep 1 and I think 19 SEC wins gets you a top 8 seed this year. Yeah it hurts, but so did the UF, UK, and Arkansas losses. The important thing is we didn’t get swept and all 3 games came down to the last out.

What a complete embarrassment today. You can forget about a top 8 seed and lose the series this weekend and you can start to forget about a top 16 seed.
