Best chance will be a doubleheader on Friday with about 20 lightning delays throughout the day and 1 game at 8 am Saturday morning.

I really wish that we were able to keep Rivas this season.

I don't get why we don't just start Hooks in place of Maddox. Maddox has a 7.25 ERA - everyone has seen enough from him to know he's not gonna get the job done as a starter. He's a guy that can give you one inning in relief, and that's it. Hooks is rocking a 2.55 ERA.

But in all fairness, has Hooks built that ERA against lesser competition, or am I wrong?

Doyle and Rivas and we would be in a position to make a run in June. Out bats have surprised to the upside

I don’t care who the pitcher is but anyone else on the team should start over Maddox. It’s clear that Maddox doesn’t give us a chance to win so let’s see if anyone else on the roster can give us a chance.

So glad we hired a pitching coach. So glad he does things differently .

This has bianco written all over it by keeping Maddox in

They are starting the 1st game at 2pm. They should have started in the morning to try to fit both games in. The 2pm is going to last into the late evening with all of the delays.

According to the hourly weather forecast it's supposed to rain all night and not stop until noon tomorrow. They'll need 2 hours just to get the field ready if it's even possible to make playable at that point. Very dubious that we complete 3 games this weekend

It looks like it is moving north of Lexington, so we may be in the clear with some scattered showers instead of the all day drenching.

As much as we like to complain about Maddox I think the bigger problem is Hunter Elliot. I’ve been saying for weeks now that something isn’t right with him. He’s given up 6 or 7 free passes so far today and is now getting shelled. If he can’t get it figured out then our season will take a steep nosedive.

He didn't pitch great but he didn't let it get out of hand.

But you're right. He's not the freshman version of himself. And neither is Nichols.

We are out hitting these guys 12-5 and we're probably going to lose this game.

I do believe we’re the biggest frauds in the top 25. We really have not looked good this year and don’t understand being in the top 25, let alone top 10. If we didn’t have Mason Morris, we’d be fricked

What a boneheaded play to throw it over the 2nd baseman.

Outhit them 13 to freaking 6 and lost.

We are about to get swept. The collapse has begun but hopefully that will get bianco canned.
