Excluding Alabama, the only other school I would really worry about is Miami. Luckily they got Cristobal because if they didn't Lane would likely be their coach.

NFL would be a bigger concern at this point than 95% of the college schools. UCLA is almost laughable considering their lack of commitment.

I disagree. The U will never be the same school it was in the 80's. They play in a stadium 24 miles away from their campus and the rest of the college football world recruits that area. I think Lane would only leave for a top tier program which would be Bama, UGA, Florida, Texas, OSU, etc.

NFL is a concern but personally, I wouldn't do it. It has its own set of headaches. It would have to be the right NFL job with the right owner.

No NFL headache compares to the headache of recruiting 24/7. It's why Chris Kiffin went back after literally a week.

He definitely wanted Miami. We gave him 7 million reasons to stay in Oxford. Now he can keep his house there and fly from Oxford airport in the summer and winter.

I'm pretty sure it's just message board nonsense, but my LSU friends are firmly convinced Kiff practically begged for the LSU job last season. Does anyone know if there is any truth to this?

They can say anything they want. It like me saying my prick used to be bigger the Ron Jeremy’s. It may be true…..but likely not. But it’s my perception that matters!

His agent may have talked to LSU as any good agent would do. He also likely talked to Ed about how much of a dumpster fire it would be to take over.

Right. As long as he has an agent on payroll(like every other coach), that agent is gonna make calls to any major program opening

Sorry if this is just over my head, but why do what appear to be pledges want dirty cups at football games?

A negotiating tactic is not the same as interest. I doubt that Auburn has the ability to lure him there for many reasons as I have stated before. Still, at some point, he needs to show some loyalty to Keith and the fans and shut down all of the rumors publicly.

Every fanbase thinks they can lure him away, but I doubt that they understand his base pay is 11th in the nation and with the additional incentives on certain goals, that boosts him up to at least the top 10 in pay.

It's just like all of the fanbases that were certain Jon Gruden was headed to their school in the past. Just internet B.S.

That would be nice. But it would also be a distraction. Ignoring them is just as effective.

We have lost our last four in Fayetteville. We are 2-11 there overall.
