The only one that is already announced is Florida vs. Bama. If we take care of business this week it’s gonna be Ole Miss vs. Bama CBS game of the week. They wouldn’t choose Arkansas vs. Georgia without knowing the results of Arkansas vs. Texas A&M the week before. Week 8 CBS will choose between Bama vs. Tennessee and Ole Miss vs. LSU. That’s an absolute terrible slate of SEC games that week. Week 11 should be Ole Miss vs. Texas A&M but CBS could do Tennessee vs. Georgia. If Tennessee is trash this season we probably get 3 CBS games this year.

I can’t believe they’d sacrifice us vs bama against an absolute blowout with bama and Tennessee.. I get it’s a rivalry but not when bama destroys them every year and it’ll be over mid 2nd quarter

But whatevs .

If we handle Tulane it will 100 percent be Bama vs. Ole Miss. It would be the only guaranteed top 25 matchup for that week with 2 Heisman contenders in it. CBS is in a tough decision this year and will probably be forced to pass on a couple of Bama games they normally wouldn’t pass on.

There were 15 or so penalties for appx 150 yards against Louisville. We gotta clean that part of the game up.

We are the second most penalized team in the country.

I agree. They will also be pumped to talk about Kiffin/Saban relationship and prolly forget there is an actual game happening.

THat being said i hope its a night game on some ESPN channel. We will be driving home from Disney that day and would rather not have to leave super early to make it home for 3:30 kickoff.

SEC teams can only be on CBS 5 times a year

Alabama was on CBS six times in 2018, one of which was the SEC championship game.

I personally don't care if we play Bama on CBS or ESPN.

Either is great but if I had a choice, I just love the nostalgia of the CBS spot. Plus, I prefer to watch the game earlier in the day.

For your sake I hope we play them at 2:30 then

I do like how the CBS games, especially later in October, start in brilliant bright sunshine and end with the sun going down.

You know I don't switch over to bourbon until 11/1. It is still tequila season. I'm open to making an exception since I haven't seen you in awhile.

We are going to need a bottle of Cazadores blanco, a twelve-pack of Topo Chicos, and 5 limes.

Helton to Ole Miss in any scenario? Him and Lane go back. Perhaps if one of our coordinators takes a HC job next year?

Lebby is going to get a job somewhere. This is his last year in Oxford IMO so it's entirely possible.

He was a coach at Memphis for a few years so he knows the area

The Grove and Vaught are going to be a sloppy mudfest. I am hopeful we will be able to lean heavily on our running game.

The Wave run defense has been good this season despite the small sample size. Tossing out the Morgan State game, they held OU to just 116 yards on 35 carries (3.31 ypc). Looking back to 2020, the Wave run defense was Jekyll and Hyde. there were games where they looked tremendous (Southern Miss, Memphis), and others where they didn't show up (Navy, Tulsa, UCF).

I know a lot about Tulane. My father-in-law is an actual Tulane football fan (yes, they exist). I have been following them closely and going to games at their cool little stadium for years. Any questions for me?

I probably should be more nervous than I am but I'm not concerned about this game at all. The non conference game that worries me is Freeze and Liberty

I still worry about any OM game until the last second has ticked off the clock. So don't worry, I will worry enough for both of us.
