An inferior team wanted this game much more than we did. An inferior team wanted this series infinitely more than we did. There's no excuse for the lack of effort that we had this weekend and there is no excuse for not getting the job done.

We've had a great season so far. Hope we learn from this series and understand the fact that if you want to stay on top, you have to play fundamentally sound baseball and take the chances when they are presented.

We let Jake Mangum beat us today. MSU didn't beat us.

USM and Vandy outside the friendly confines of Swayze this week.

Doesn’t get any easier.

Time to see what this team is made of.

I don’t understand how if we can all predict exactly what’s going to happen with Stokes in, Bianco doesn’t know that’s exactly what’s going to happen

I’m not upset that we lost a series, I’m upset that we lost a series to those hillbilly sons of bitches.

If this isn’t a bite in the arse wake up call that we cannot backdoor win every series then idk what is. Gotta play like you actually want to win, especially against your biggest rival ffs

We deserved our weekend fate. We played like arse and thought they would be a cakewalk.

This. Between all the errors and leaving man after man after man on base we deserved exactly what we got... losing two out of three to the worst team in the league. This will hopefully give us a kick in pants.

As poorly as we played we still were 2 outs away from winning the series.

Just didn’t finish.

Hopefully we can get back on track this week.

That’s right. It happens. The situation adds a little extra bitterness to it but in a 50 game season it’s gonna happen and likely more than once.

Only scoring 5 runs on 15+ hits is unacceptable.

You could see it coming though. The longer you let a team hang around the more likely Murphy’s Law is to get you and it did.

I don’t know what we’re going to do with Stokes.

He just can’t throw on the weekends anymore.

He can’t go 1 inning without hanging a slider or throwing a 88 MPH fastball in a hitter’s wheel house.

The salt in the wound is Arkansas came back and beat AU today. Bumped out of first in the West.

This. Like last year’s squad.

We really haven't been doing this much this year though in all fairness. Truthfully, hit wise, it's nothing like last year. Did we ever scare 16 hits in one game last year? Much less an SEC game? Like I noted earlier, this kinda shite gonna happen in a long baseball season. It's just that it happened against the in-state rival, a poor one at that, magnifies it exponentially.

30 hits in the last 2 games.

Gotta win when the sticks are juiced.

Not often, but we did leave a lot of runners stranded.

We’re still ranked in the top 5 in all polls.

Not too shabby.

Gonna be tough to go 3-1 this week but if we do it’ll go a long long way towards a National Seed in June.

I really thought Stokes would get through that inning, then he threw the fat one. Damn....
