So with next year's class looking to be possibly the biggest in-state recruiting battle since Tupelo's Sunday alcohol sales, does MSU get popped with another recruiting violation?
Engie said the same thing

So just for a little clarity as far as our class rank goes -
We would be #2 in the Big 12 behind OU.
We would be #2 in the B1G behind tOSU.
We would be #3in the ACC behind FSU and Miami.
We would be #1 in the PAC 12.
We are #8 in the SEC.
Just...damn.

Exactly. Congrats on the class, rebs. You guys have some nice headliners.

Also for clarity, this class has a higher overall rating than last years class per the 247 composite.
Last year .8802
This year .8810
Last year .8802
This year .8810

Well yeah... Last year's class was extremely top heavy.. No balance whatsoever... Just ask the LSU recruiting board.

I really love this class.
The D-Line is stout with two great potential edge rushers in Haynes and Evans, and then we have McDowell and Speaks at DT (need I say more about those two??). And don't forget about the behemoth transfer Fadol Brown. Heck of a haul. Christian Russell can come in and compete immediately for Marry's PT and Gates can rehab his knee this year and re-establish why he was a 4-star recruit, at one time, next year. In the defensive backfield, we picked up some absolute ballhawks. Webster's film and stat lines from HS are great and Shepard (if he is able to qualify) was a top-100 composite CB when he signed out of HS with ND. Then of course you have CJ and Alford (Transfer) at the two safeties, whom will provide great athleticism. And of course, you have the DK Buford and the Moore Twins who could play in the secondary or at LB and are very athletic.
On the offensive side, we signed a QB who really fits our system and what we want to run. At RB, we finally got our big back in Akeem Judd, who when healthy, is quite the player and has not really been able to show his full repertoire. Jordan Wilkins (RS) will be a special player as well at the RB position. At WR and TE, getting Pack and Epps, along with Liggins and Harris, will just provide more quality depth and great playmaking ability at those spots. Liggins could also see time as the short yardage QB. And lastly, up front we signed another great 5-star G in Rod Taylor. He is exeptional in drill work and could help us immediately. Rawlings will need a year but is a player that WANTS to be a rebel and will work his arse off. You want those guys in your program. And then you have Fahn Cooper and Christian Morris, who I'm sure will both be given a chance to start at Tackle and also provide quality depth. Sims will help with the depth on the interior but will need to get conditioned.
Overall, if you really take a look at this class, it was not as top heavy as last year's class, but you can make a case it is better top to bottom. It will provide quality depth that we didn't have last year and it will allow us to sub more and not suffer as much through injuries. This class, along with the RS and transfers, is truly something special.
