We can agree to disagree on at least the school part. You might not agree with the method for hiring a chancellor, but at the end of the day I mostly believe we hired the right guy. And, as I've said on here before, when I was in school I couldn't even tell you who the chancellor, or in my school's case the president, even was nor did I care. The day-to-day work of getting a quality education isn't overly impacted by whom the chancellor is. The overall athletic program is in pretty good standing as well.

Competently run schools don't do an 11th hour, good old boy, back-door hire for Chancellor and AD. If these were good hires, why were they done behind closed doors? If the Chancellor really doesn't matter, why are we paying him 600k? Did he have the same agent as Fatt Luke?

The point I was trying to make and probably didn't do a good job is that I don't believe the school is a joke. I really don't. The students and the teachers in the classrooms, which is the real point of having a school to start with I'm sure we can both agree, aren't immediately and directly impacted by the chancellor in my experience. And I have a pretty close experience on both ends of that equation. I'll leave it at that.

And just for clarification, OM pays the chancellor $300k which is still a lot. The larger portion of his salary is paid by IHL. Needless to say, the position is important. Not arguing that. I do argue that we got the right guy. Lots of good hires are done behind closed doors. In fact, that's probably the case with the vast majority of them. Was there a need a "national search?" Probably not. The process was certainly weird.

Boosters were going to pay the buyouts.

That’s certainly interesting if true.

Weren;t they always...

SO freeze bolts so his texts/calls aren't completely leaked out and his dirty laundry aired for all to see.... instead of taking his buyout money which was quite alot too... they were already willing to pay it for him to go away....

so why not the same thing for Luke.

I hope to God that's not true. Because if it is, that means Matt fricking Luke is more powerful than our AD

If we cannot afford to fire the entire staff I wonder if we could at least fire Rich Rod. Not sure who we could hire but surely someone that can actually change up the playcalling a bit. What does everyone think?

The offense is better than RR gets credit for. If RR could convince MM to stay, I would be for replacing Luke with him. Hire a qb coach and we are set.

RR has our offense ranked 3rd in the league in total yards behind only LSU and Alabama. The fact that people are unhappy with him is hilarious.

#3 in Total Yards

What was our TD redzone percentage rank? The yards and points are cool but not if they're in garbage time and you can't score in the redzone

Our last OC had great numbers too but he still sucked and got run out of town

Ok while I agree with you, it’s a little funny seeing this argument coming from such a Hugh Freeze fanboy.

Don’t see it broken down by just TDs, but including FGs it is 5th in the league at .868.
