This board is high on crack if y'all truly want Lane Kiffin as our head coach.

The OM program is stale and lifeless. Kiffin changes that the second he’s announced.

And if he fricks up, oh well. At least we swung for the fences. (Not to mention the morality clause that’s built into the contract. That’s how we got out of Freezes contract).

Luke was fired, among other reasons, due to fan apathy. It’s time to make a splash.

Kiffin and the OM fan base are a match made in heaven: cocky, arrogant, don’t give any fricks, etc

Can't argue that, one of the most arrogant coaches with a perceived snobby fanbase would give us an identity

Out of curiosity I pulled up the odds Vegas had on our last HC search and Luke was tied for 13th at +1600

LINK

Really hoping the odds are wrong on Napier and we get either Norvell or Kiffin. shite, Norvell has better odds at +1200 than Luke did so there’s hope!

I won’t be upset with Napier and I think he could do great things here also, the other two will just make way more of a splash IMO.

Watch his offenses at Bama. Liked to toss it around.

Corral would do very well in it

This. I actually like Napier but the other two would be better hires.

Now watch us pass on Napier and him go to Arkansas and win the West next year

The guy is good for headlines. That's about it. Look at his past win totals. Up and down.

We can't afford another hire that doesn't work out. No doubt he will have a huge buyout negotiated into his contract, not to mention having to buyout his FAU contract.

I wouldn't go that far. We don't want to screw this hire up and be in an even deeper hole that we already are. Believe it or not, this isn't rock bottom

We have a shite ton to lose. For instance, look back at the mess Houston Nutt left behind.

Perhaps, but there’s more to be gained than lost.

Recruiting alone would changed immediately. In 2-3 years, the roster would be stacked

I like the idea of Kiffin but I would rather have someone who wins games, not press conferences and twitter.

Neal sold me on Kiffin.

Basically said He knows for a fact he would take this job over Arky.

He made a great case for him on their podcast.

So Neal is saying he’s ours and the only reason we don’t get him is if Carter/admin chose not to offer?

Jesus, with both Kiffin and Napier in championship games this Saturday, Sunday can’t get here soon enough.

For the sake of my career this search needs to end soon

This is a tired narrative (that Kiffin can’t win)

- he turned a terrible Tennessee team into like 7-6 his one year there
- took his dream job at USC while they were under severe penalties, and still did okay, but the circumstances were very much against him
- did great as Bama’s OC
- 2 out of 3 years with double digit wins at FAU

The only place he truly “bombed” at was Oakland, but that’s Oakland

Right. Kiffin would be a walk-off grand slam type hire for Ole Miss. Much like Norvell

I need to listen to Neal’s podcast, I just have a negative opinion on Kiffin I need to shake.
