I feel uneasy he might jump ship in a few years. It seems he doesn't mind relocating if there's more money on the other side.

If we get three years out of him I’ll be happy. Let Lenny take over after that

Worry about it then. The program will be in significantly better shape. I'll have him for as long as he want to be in Oxford.

Jeff Lebby is soaking up everything Lane is teaching him on building a program. We have to keep Lebby on staff though. I want him as our next head coach.

If he's here in 3 years he's done a bad job.

I’ve been panicking about it to be honest.

Where would he go within three years? IMO, the better jobs in the SEC are:

Alabama - Would Bama take a chance on him after Saban? Possibly. But I think they value stability, and Lane doesn't scream stability.
TAMU - Unless Jimbo epically crashes and burns in the next few years they aren't a threat.
Auburn - We shall see how Harsin does. I could see them going after Lane.
LSU - The biggest threat IMO. I don't see Orgeron working out long term.
Florida - Same as LSU
UGA - Same as TAMU

The Big 10 is a whole other can of worms. We'll see what happens. I'm fairly confident we keep him for the next three years. We are just going to have to put up with the constant rumors of him leaving.

I don’t care if Kiffin leaves at all but I am worried about Lebby leaving.

Its going to happen as long as he has us on the upswing and as long as new jobs open up he will be defacto placed in the "hunt"

What will prolly happen is he will stay until he feels we are what is holding him back. If that time comes then he will leave. But as long as we keep going up then i think he will stay.

What money would we not match to keep him if he is good?

If he does go anywhere then UCLA or somewhere near Cali would be what gets him. His kids are there and I believe he went to college at Fresno. Cali is honestly his home.

Ideally, I want what AU did with Gus Malzahn. Always competitive and always good enough to not get fired. Aswell as restructuring his contract every year. Which we might have to do for keeping up with bigger schools, FSU, Texas, Ohio State, ect.

I'm fine with him leaving as long as he leaves a stable program with quality players. If Kiffin left today, i would hope we set our sights on someone more experienced and qualified than Jeff Lebby. Nothing against him, he's just not ready to step into the SEC West as a HC right now.

He’s gone in three if he continues to excel.

I say now I’ll be ok when he jumps. Unless it’s to Alabama.

But as I’m sitting here thinking about where he might go I don’t know if there are that many schools he’d jump to.

SEC
Alabama - If Bama calls of course he’s gone.
LSU - I don’t see that fit.
Georgia - Gone
Florida - yup, but the only Florida school I think he’d jump to
PAC-12 -Anywhere? USC is out.
Big12 - Texas, Oklahoma anywhere else?
Big10 - OSU
ACC - Clemson

I’m sure I’m missing programs we’d lose him to but I don’t know if it’s really that many more we’d have to contend with.

Nah. It would have to be somewhere like UCLA, Oregon or Washington. The others don't grab enough national attention for him

I could see UCLA but not Oregon or Washington.

But is UCLA really worth it? I don’t know if they’d be able to price us out of the market.

They’re 112-108 since 2003. Outside of 2005,2013 and 2014 they’ve been about as productive as a wet fart.
