I figured that by the time I was 30 we would do something of significance. We won a Sugar Bowl and had top 10 recruiting classes under Freeze then we fired him and replaced him with a shite head. So we are back to square one. And I'm tired if putting my time and money into a program that doesn't care about winning as much as being a top tailgating spot.

If everyone demanded more instead of having the stance of "well you have to be realistic. We will never be Bama or LSU" then our program might not be a laughing stock

You realize we did all this with a high school basketball coach. Freeze was not a big name; the fanbase hated the hire when it happened but grew to love him after he proved himself. He proved we could compete at the highest level with aggressive recruiting and really good coordinators to make up for his lack of play calling skills. Luke is a good recruiter and we have 1 elite coordinator and 1 awful coordinator. If we make a change on defense and clean up the defensive hole Freeze left us in talent wise and coaching wise we will begin to recover. Recruiting under NCAA investigation with sanctions and an interim tag is hard enough, I'm impressed with what Luke has done. Now that he is officially the head coach the buck stops with him for the defense.

Here is my favorite Freeze quote on McGriff hire since you seem to forget Freeze made that hire not Luke. Luke is basically stuck with Freeze's staff his year.

“Wesley is the total package — an outstanding leader, creative coach and dynamic recruiter,” Coach Hugh Freeze said in a statement. “The defenses have been outstanding at every place he has been, and his most recent experience at Auburn has him well prepared for this opportunity. He helped lead a unit that was tremendous at stopping the run, limiting explosive plays and being stingy in the red zone, and we look forward to Wesley applying those same principles to our young men on that side of the ball.”

And why exactly did we fire him? You somehow don't think it was warranted?

But a shite head who loves Ole Miss.

Honest question: Were there any serious candidates who would meet your expectations that would have taken the job knowing that at least a 2 year NCAA suspension was staring them in the face?

Norvell, Morris and Les Miles. Yes Miles would have come for the right amount of money and guaranteed time.

You would have approved of a Les Miles hire?

Norvell has baggage. Chad Morris would not have come with NCAA probation staring us in the face.

I keep seeing this, both with Ole Miss and back when Arkansas was looking. What exactly is this baggage?

You think he would have been worse than Matt Luke?

Clean image, great personality that can recruit well and has experience winning at a high level. We could do and did much worse than him.

I always see you posting this shite about not supporting the team because of Luke, but the whole reason we have Luke is because of how Freeze fricked us; a fricking you continue to claim was "worth it."

frick you.

Lol if he’s such a great coach why isn’t he coaching in the SEC right now

There were a million job opening this past offseason. Miles didn’t get any of the open jobs

That’s not the point. He’s a retread. He went downhill at the end with a rotating cast of coordinators, and his success was completely built on Louisiana talent.

He would average 8-4 seasons at Ole Miss, if that, and would be impossible to get rid of when he did it. We would be exactly where you proclaim you don’t want us to be: mediocre.

If Les Miles gets us 8-4 then Luke will get us 3-9

He got us 6-6 last year. He’ll probably do it again this year. After year 3 or 4 of it, he’ll be gone.

Until then, I got this for you:

Apply liberally.
