Here's what Henry doesn't understand. When we hire that big time hire. They will leave. I don't think Henry was around to remember Tommy Tubberville. Dan Mullen walked away from the best state team he's ever had, to coach for SEC championships at Florida. He figured out it wasn't going to happen in the west with Alabama, Auburn, LSU-after they hire their next great coach and now aTm. So he left his best chance ever to win the west to go to Florida. Because long term his odds of getting to the SEC championship are better at Florida. Do you know how to end a 31 game winning streak? Hire Dan Mullen. The only chance that Ole Miss has is to hire a guy that will stay long term, that can hire quality coordinators to run the business end. Luke doesn't have to be a genius he just has to recognize and hire genius.

I agree to an extent. However, I can't imagine that our talent is so lacking that it couldn't produce a single stop against an FCS school in the first half.

Shea Patterson lost the Cal game. Cal brought pressure and Shea got scared. Instead of standing in the pocket and making throws to his other receivers, he was too busy running around like a chicken without a head. It was Patterson's poor passing that got AJ Brown injured. Instead of throwing to lead AJ away from a defender he lead him to where the defender was coming from. This basically left Patterson without his security blanket. So, because he wasn't good at the pre read of the defense he had no one to bail him out when he was in panic mode. Patterson stifled the offense all by himself. His refusal to take what the defense was giving him and attempting to force plays that weren't there cost us the California game. Remember how the run game began to improve when Jordan took over and actually would pull the ball and run when it was available? Patterson was too afraid to run the ball, this made him less effective. Bo Wallace and Chad Kelly were much better QBs in an RPO offense. Patterson lacks the guts and commitment to be an effective QB in an RPO offense. He was all about me and not the team.

HJJ is basically the anti cheerleader. His mantra is “we should have kept Freeze, fire Luke”...without a viable alternative or an understanding that with Freeze the Defensive results would be the same or worse.
