Marquez Dortch also decommits today. What’s going on? 2022 class down to 42 and dead last in the conference. Odd timing too, the day after such a big win.

I’m seeing lots of rumors/speculation about both of them. They could both land at State which will catapult their class into the low 20s. I’m also hearing we will lean heavily on the portal which won’t factor at all into the recruiting rankings if that’s what people are into. And well, of course many are. It will, however, result in guys who are ready to play. At least that’s the goal. Either way it’s a bit of a sour look at the moment.

I think the portal is good but you are basically going the one and done route. I would rather have around 20-22 commits and expect we will also lose players in the portal.

I really don't see where the Kiffin staff has gained inroads or established themselves anywhere within our immediate recruiting footprint. Where's the kids from New Orleans, Memphis, Jackson etc..?

Yeah not looking good. Looks like we lose the receiver to Kentucky and offensive tackle we are after to Miss State. How we lose a lineman to State I have no idea. I get if you are a qb or receiver and wanting to play for Leach. But any other position, I don't understand how that campus and town is where you would want to spend more than a weekend a year. That said, looks like Leach and his staff are picking things up and have momentum going into signing day and things are pretty quiet on our end.
