I hope this means I won’t ever have to hear him rant about Covid again

Neal kills me with his pity party rants about how tired he is from traveling….every single time, it’s 30 minutes of rambling about his busy schedule. No one cares Neal. You got an expense paid vacation to go write some stories in a hotel room to also go out at night to the bars.

He acts like it’s such a burden . To do what he’s paid to do. Cover athletic events . It’s exhausting to hear someone bitch and complain about something that takes no effort. Writing about sports. So tough. Thoughts and prayers.

Tried listening to their pod the other day about the conclusion of the portal season and had to fast forward the first hour because they were talking about everything but Ole Miss football.

They are masters at talking for an hour and saying nothing. It’s just blabbering on about nonsense . It’s never what you wanna hear about.. they’ll make time to discuss little Debbie’s treats but then chase is like “well we ran outta time we will get to ole miss basketball tomorrow” then you get to tomorrow with a 1st segment 20 minute soliloquies about modern journalism and is a hot dog a sandwich and Neal chimes in with a “I haven’t eaten a hot dog since the ‘01 weedeaters bowl when the fine people at the chargers stadium laid out a tray of ballparks”

my main goto now is Ben and Michael Borkey.. Richard Cross too me is still good but he don't do as much sports anymore.. I remember him and Matt Wyatt started Head to Head

I really enjoy listening to Cross and Hadad on my home from work everyday. Don’t hear Borkey on there much, but I enjoy his contributions on Twitter.

ETA: Ben has always been a real one. If you don’t like Ben, you’re a certified heaux.

Ultimately I think Neal is jealous that Chase is better connected and more generally well liked. And younger.

Neal is unbearable 90% of the time. He has one of the biggest egocentric personalities I’ve ever seen

There’s a name for people like this. They go by scholars and journalists.

I didn’t realize this many people disliked him. I don’t listen to a lot of sports podcasts and quit subscribing to the fanboy sites over a decade ago. Most people outside of the Ole Miss and Alabama/Auburn fanbases have no clue who Neal is. Some people go a little crazy once all their kids get out of the house and they have to find a new purpose outside of just work and their marriage. Maybe he’s going through some of that. I hope he figures it out. Why burn down all that you’ve built with your subscriber base when the Thunder are still on the front end of their best run in franchise history ??!

I think you are mistaking Cross for Borkey. Borkey is on 99% of the shows and Cross is only on 10% of them because he does his morning politics show.

I can't listen to his podcast. Neal rarely adds any information. He has no inside sources at Ole Miss. He has admitted that on several occasions. And when he does seem to have some information, he plays it like, he knows something but he can't tell you what it is. He is literally paid to tell people what it is. I can't stand that "I know something but you don't" kind of thing.

He fricked us with Tunsil.

He blasts us occasionally, for no fricking reason.

I mean after the past few months, he should KNOW the current state of the fanbase, read the room, and keep his mouth shut when he feels the need to insult us.

I’m curious why the mpw digital network decided to branch out and do a State podcast and now an Auburn one

I guess there’s demand for that but it’s weird to me to do that. Like what other local entity would highlight other areas. Would a Starkville podcast have an ole miss centric pod ? Or a Baton Rouge one have an ole miss show on its channel?
