While, yes... I honestly think Pittman is a good fit for them and I would be equally excited if I were in their shoes
He’s like their Matt Luke but better... his overall success will be leveraged off of his Coordinators ultimately, but if I were on their ship, I’d be pumped having him lead it

I don't know why we're laughing at Arkansas.
>They are by far the better program both currently and historically
>Distinctive facilities advantage
>With their Hunt, Wal-Mart, etc money, they can pay anything they need to for their coach of choice
>Fayetteville >>>> Oxford
>Kiffin called Arky two years ago and begged for an interview
>Kiffin signed an LOI and is putting together a staff
What did I miss?

Matt Luke couldn’t get good hires... plain and simple
You have two schools of thought when it comes to HC. You either have an X&O’s guy who does the job of one of the coordinators
Or
You have a figurehead who’s main job is overall direction and recruiting
And obviously those two things aren’t fully exclusive, but with Lane, we got a good blend of both who will more than likely leave us at some point
With Pittman... they got more so a figurehead who the players will love (like Luke) and a guy that probably won’t leave (also like Luke)... from the sound of it he’s a much better OL coach than Luke was (which is the most important position group IMO)
So, I mean, at the end of the day, as long as he can pull some good coordinator hires (which he will adjacently learn from scheme-wise) he could be successful

some interesting thoughts in here for sure.
Kiffin brought you some great excitement and experience dealing with the sabanites of the SEC. There are unknown factors for you but not as many as with us.
Pittman just looks all Hawg, if he brings his knowledge and ability, and connections we will be ok and finally build off of that.
Either way, good luck until our game. WPS!

He says he needs to recruit. He said he needs to recruit the best recruits. The better he says, the better the team will be.
He says he's once he starts winning he can take off his shoes then socks.

I personally do not want any SEC team to be bad. Arkansas has a long history and should be relevant in this conference. The more bowl games the SEC gets, the more money for all of us. Cheers Bro

Having lived in Arkansas, I can say that they are one of the worst, if not the worst, fan bases in college football.
They are unique in the fact that they are cocky, yet insecure at the same time.
They got rejected by everyone they approached yet will spin it like Pittman was who they wanted all along.
If anything, I think the chances of it not working out are much higher than it actually working. We all saw what happens when you hire an unqualified coach to lead your program and try and prop him up with the OC and DC hires....in our case, both had been national coach of the year and had tons of head coaching experience and it still didn't work.
