No tell Lane to kick rocks and let everybody on the team understand Lane quit on them and left a team trying to win a championship.

This is the correct answer

We don’t owe lane shite. He wants to leave so bad, you don’t get to have your cake and eat it too to coach the team you’re walking out on in it’s best season to leave for our rival

Frick allllll of that. It’s business. Right ? If it meant so much to him, he would stay. But it’s clear we were a stepping stone. So frick him and his ego. He’s a spoiled child used to getting his way with no punishment.

Leaving a team that's playoff bound because you want to go somewhere to compete for a national championship is literally retarded

Not to mention an Iron Bowl away from an SEC title game.

There’s a popular tweet going around that says

“If it can’t be done at ole miss then Why is it being done at ole miss ?”

I have to assume that even though we are going to the playoffs he doesn't actually think we can win

Exactly. People act like there won’t be new programs that rise from the ashes from all of this. The elite level programs are ever changing. We are positioning ourselves for a move. Will we ever reach Ohio State levels? No. We don’t have the student body size for that. But we can get to Auburn/Alabama level with enough buy in and consistency

247 board says KC and Lane meeting this afternoon and a final decision is expected.

Sumrall to Florida is basically done - the timing of Lane dragging this out has been too much to overcome.

Lists Alex Golesh as a name to watch for our opening (would not excite me one bit).

Ask Brian Kelly how that worked out

Golesh wouldn’t be a bad hire.

Florida fans may revolt against Sumrall

I like Sumrall but we need an offensive minded coach, IMO. He did good at Troy and Tulane, but we are in a position to do better.

I thought Golesh and Arkansas had a deal in place?

As long as Sumrall hasn’t accepted a deal I would think we still have a shot

Thought it was interesting that lane this morning deleted his retweet from last night talking about OM being the last place him and his dad coached together.

If we end up with Golesh then Arkansas is going to be in some shite. Silverfield may be their only option

[John Brice]: Multiple sources tell @FootballScoop that Tulane head coach Jon Sumrall has withdrawn from Auburn’s coaching search as Florida continues pursuit.
